Even though it was a busy night and the restaurant was full, the service provided was exemplary and the prix fixe menu and wine choices were superb! C'est Si Bon remains my absolute favorite restaurant in Portland.

Chef Bryan made some amazing food. We enjoyed our meals. John was attentive and surprised us with rare wines. Marshall helped in anyway, they were all in a perfect orchestration with getting everyone their orders. It's an experience, to say the least.

A wonderful culinary experience. John, the host, was accommodating, friendly, helpful. We received very personal, customized service, making sure that food allergies were addressed. Fabulous chef. We were very happy with every dish we ordered. It was hard to decide so we will definitely go back.

Been at this place many times. Unique environment, excellent service from owner, who knows his wine and always have excellent recommendations. I always have a good time here.

Doesn’t pay his former employees all of their wages. Food went way down hill in the last few years, service was always abysmally slow and pretentious, and now I can see why, toxic management. Rule number one is to always pay your people. If you can’t even do that then you have no business doing business. Portland will eat you up.

C'est si Bon is such a delightful restaurant! The food is terrific (Chef is a multivalent culinary master). The atmosphere is charming and welcoming. Owner John makes one feel especially welcome. His recommendations as to food and wine were spot-on for us (and I would add that it is rare to have a restauranteur whose recommendations one really can depend on). The prix fixe and wine pairing is recommended if diners want the full meal experience, but the a la carte menu is excellent.

Charming, unsuspected French excellence. Food - divine with great selections; bravo to the chef. Wine - off the chart plentiful state of the art choices, as patrons replicate a paring wine for each course. Ambiance - small, intimate, as candles dance on tabletops and patrons sneak a conversation with each other. Waiters - cream of the crop, as owner-operator shares his love of all aspects of his establishment and his assistant sings happy birthday in Polish. It's more than a meal - it's entertainment!

Really wanted this to be a nice night out, but I couldn't have been more disappointed with this place. We were celebrating a birthday and ordered from the Prefix menu, did the wine pairings...Our reservation was for 7pm and it took us nearly 3 hours to get through all of our meal because of poor service. I admit to being impatient at times but I think this was an unreasonable amount and I'm glad we didn't have any other plans after. By hour 2 I was considering just squaring up the tab where we were and going home. They seemed short- staffed (I saw a total of 3 people working) but I also don't think the place could have accommodated more staff because it was so tiny. What's worse is when the food did come out I found it all to be incredibly bland.

C'est Si Bon! Bistro + Vins takes a very European approach to dining -- small, intimate setting, quiet enough that you can talk comfortably with your dinner companions, good food, and no rush to get you out the door, so you can take your time and enjoy the meal. We did the Prix Fixe menu with wine pairings, which provided multiple appetizers in addition to the main course and dessert. Portion size on the appetizers was reasonable, so despite the number of courses we were pleasantly satiated by meal's end, rather than stuffed to the bursting point. Every course was excellent, as was the wine. All in all, and great experience; we'll definitely be back!

Some dear friends treated us to an evening in this small but simply divine restaurant a few nights ago . Everything deserves a 5 star. Service, food, wine pairings and atmosphere. John, the owner took exceptional care of us and engaged in deep knowledgable well educated conversations with my chef husband. Sadly, there were no left overs. A perfect evening. We will visit again and again.
