Chang's is always an enjoyable experience because you're able to create the exact meal you're in the mood for.
Even though they have a huge dining room they do become VERY busy on the weekends during both lunch and dinner sessions. During this time there's a high potential you'll be waiting in line up to 15 minutes BEFORE your food gets cooked, so be sure to pack your patience. To avoid the crowds do what I do and go on a week day during their lunch session.
They also offer soda, milk, lemonade, beer and wine however there is an upcharge as it's ala carte'. The soda is bottomless so that's a plus.
For years I didn't know this but as it turns out the soup (sunflower or hot and sour) and ice cream are all you can eat too.
You can expect to encounter friendly and attentive wait staff so be sure to budget a tip into your visit. Chang's shares a parking lot with the surrounding businesses so at times parking can be a challenge, due to this consider carpooling.
As I write this lunch is roughly $17 and dinner $22. Oh and by the way, if you're in the mood for Chang's but don't have time to dine in, they do offer a "to go" option but I'm unsure of the price.

I took my family here for lunch and was greeted by kind and friendly staff members. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the experience. This place is filthy. The fire suppression system hasn’t been dusted in years, so the clumps of dust fall into the food as you stand in line next to aggressive, impatient, and morbidly obese people. Next, as we were eating our food, we looked out the window and saw a grown man without shoes or pants pick up, and start eating a cigarette off the ground. I almost vomited as I made eye contact with the urban outdoorsman eating the cigarette. Needless to say, I won’t be visiting this open air prison buffet again.

Everything is disty and dirty, the liquids are a extremely watered down and the service is always so rude, especially the owner.

I have been in different locations of the Chang's and had no problem.
The glass that contained water smelled of someone else's body odor..
Some plates for picking up the raw food were dirty.
The damn smell got stuck in my nose for a while after visiting there. Hope I am not going to get someone else's disease.
The following are supposedly the rules in the state of Oregon ;
Sanitizing
Equipment and utensils must be washed, rinsed, and sanitized using a commercial dishwasher or three-compartment sink.
Food contact surfaces
These must be cleaned and sanitized between preparing raw and ready-to-eat foods.

I've been coming to this location since 1992 but it has gone way downhill recently. The price for dinner is over $20 a person but last time I was there the grilled food was burned, the soup was cool and flavorless and the rice was overcooked and balled up. Very disappointed.
Sanitation was also disappointing. My partner saw someone taking food with their hands from the buffet line and no worker said anything. The tongs were in the food all the way when I went through the line.

The people working were all sweet. The food table was well stocked and everything moved smoothly and quickly. The cooks were efficient.
The egg drop soup tasted exactly like flour and water.
