Chart House Reviews
Had a great d be inner. Wonderful tasting food and great views.
My parents were celebrating their 40th anniversary tonight and decided to have dinner at Chart House. When I found out that’s where they were going, I decided to talk to my sister about paying for their dinner of course. We wanted to celebrate them! I called Chart House to arrange this in secret so they would have no idea until afterward - the manager James was above and beyond helpful. He called me to let me know when they’d been seated so I could head out and pay for their...read full review
While ordering a combination meal, we asked to upgrade from a cup of clam chowder to a bowl. Being their listed variance is $2, I thought the upgrade charge would be similar. Chart House in Portland, OR offers stunning views of Mt. Hood from every seat, and guests have also seen a beautiful full double rainbow out the window. The restaurant is lively and fun, known for its affordable mocktails and delicious chowder. The food quality and presentation set Chart House apart, with beautiful plates full of color and outstanding dishes. While some dishes, like the overcooked salmon, may not impress, the 3-course option provides great value. Desserts are excellent, including a birthday slice of mud pie and the mini lava cake that guests have enjoyed. The service is great, sweet, and sassy, with attentive staff who know the menu well. The atmosphere varies with seating arrangements, but overall, it's nice, with unlimited bread and excellent customer service. Many diners praise the quality of the prime rib sandwich and the super delicious miso black cod, while some meals like the prime rib may not always shine. The seafood bouillabaisse has a most delicious sauce. Prices are on the higher end, but the view and service make it worth it for a special occasion. Overall, Chart House is a hidden gem with exceptional views, making it a great choice for celebrations and a must-visit for a fun dining experience.
