Everything was really very good. However, my wife's dishes were sub par. She said the tuna sushi lacked flavor and her salad was sweet. An unexpected, not desired flavor for a chopped salad. I would also add that my steak was a bit over cooked. Still tender and juicy but I asked for medium and it was definitely medium well-well done. No pink. Jeremy was excellent for our table service. The kitchen seemed to slow down after the app came out. It seemed busy for a Sunday so that might have something to do with it. It's a great spot and we'll look forward to going back. Perfect? No. Excellent? Absolutely.Parking: Valet is complimentary.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and lidded drinks. If you know, you know.

We love their steaks. View is impeccable! Owned by Landry. So, service can be hit or miss.

I went there for a double-birthday celebration meal. The weather was nice and clear with very few clouds, which afforded a wonderful view of both Mount Hood and Mount St Helens, if you are sitting at the right table. Otherwise you would only be able to see the side of a mountain on the other side of the trees. We arrived too early for valet parking and parked ourselves, in a very narrow space, but I am told there is usually a valet parking. (I think we arrived shortly before 3:30 pm?) I believe there was 1 (unisex) bathroom upstairs and 2 (mens & womens) downstairs, both clean & stocked up. I didn't see an elevator so my thinking is that the downstairs area is not handicap accessible if you have problem with stairs or are in a wheelchair. We decided to start downstairs to peek at the happy hour menu and maybe munch off of it before we went upstairs to our reserved table, and although the bartender acknowledged us when we first got downstairs saying "go ahead and take a seat anywhere", we found a lovely table for 4 next to the window, but we sat there for 7 or 8(?) minutes (which feels like 20 minutes in ADHD time) without getting a menu or a glass of water or even eye contact from any wait staff. There were 4 tables which I believe was technically only 3 parties, and of the 3 parties downstairs we were 1 of the 2 that were getting ignored while all of the attention was being showered on the 2 tables next to us. We saw lots of wait staff moving around and punching things into computers and a lot of drinks and food being moved, but we couldn't make eye contact or get any acknowledgment so we got frustrated and decided to just go upstairs and have our meal and perhaps return back downstairs if happy hour was still going, after, so that we could peek at the menu and look at the options and pricing and hours (I'll post pic as of this date.)After we went upstairs I decided to eat a lovely mahi mahi fish meal special with a peanut sauce of some kind, which came with sticky rice in the shape of a pyramid. It did not look like sticky rice (longer, moist grain) but it tasted like it was seasoned to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire meal although I packed some away to finish at home so I could leave room for dessert and perhaps food downstairs afterwards. My date had a chopped salad without a protein added and he said it was good, but it looked kind of boring to me. Next time we go there, we'll ask for a table a little further to the south. The view of 2 mountains (the very reason I chose this restaurant) were hiding behind the trees while sitting at the third table from the left by the windows. I did not like the table placement, in regards to the view, but we had a fantastic waiter that was very patient with all our movements and questions a, and he was attentive, without hovering over us too much. My only problem with him is that he remembered it was my birthday but he kept forgetting it was the other person's birthday at the table also, but he did not speak up about his birthday himself. I did try to remind the waiter twice it was both of our birthdays, that we were celebrating, but that didn't really matter much, it was a minor thing, overall. We did end up going downstairs for happy hour afterward and ended up sitting at some tables over by the fireplace in the back of the room, and we enjoyed some coconut shrimp and some fish tacos, while finishing off the bottle of wine that we had from upstairs. The view was still pretty phenomenal even from the back of the room. I tried to take picture with my phone of the downstairs bar area but since it was so bright outside it's a little hard to see the inside, but it's the view I was trying to take a picture of. I will post those 2 photos. We did end up getting service within 5 minutes of sitting down once we went back downstairs. He was very friendly and made sure to check in with us to see if we needed anything more, he brought us everything we needed, and provided service with a smile. It was a much better experience hea

Delicious and beautifully presented plates. The fruity mojitos are sooo good! They also have a good happy hour. And of course, the atmosphere and views are stunning.

We had a company dinner at this spot, and it was a great night. They had a separate room for our group with a door to a side open-air spot, which worked out great. The food and staff were amazing and we really enjoyed having dinner overlooking the river. Check it out if you're in Portland.Parking: Parking is hard to find unless you valet

Easter dinner was a little priceyGuess they no longer offer fresh ground pepper from the servers at the table when a salad is served. My napkin was dirty when we were seated....salmon was a bit underdone

We had a horrible experience today at the Chart House. We arrived at 3:45 to have dinner reservation at 4:00. We noticed the handicap parking for both sites were being blocked. One by a car and the other by an orange cone . We ask the valet man to move his vehicle so we could park . He refused saying it was valet parking only. He would not move the vehicle saying he was the only person that would park our car. My husband showed him the law about handicapped parking and it was against the law to obstruct such places. The boy got very defensive waving his arms all around. The manager finally came out and finally we were accommodated. The valet guy said if our car was damaged in any way from another vehicle we would be responsible as we refused to have him park our car. This was a very upsetting experience and the manager tried to make things right. We had our dinner and was excorted out by the manager to make sure we could exit without any incidents.

Clam chowder, surf & turf, and key lime pie. It was GREAT! The Chart House is one of the best restaurants in Portland!

Took 10 minutes to get seated even with Valentines reservations. No one paid any attention to us for 20 minutes at the table (no drink, no order taking). Walked out after 30 minutes of waiting. Only restaurant we've ever walked out of in Portland!

Vegetarian options: Given that this is a seafood and steakhouse, vegetarian options, are rare on the menu, and really restricted to just things like salad. I would say that this is not a restaurant aimed at vegetarian eats.Dietary restrictions: With an assortment of options on the menu, there is definitely something for everyone if you have dietary restrictions. The weight staff is also helpful to inform you if you have a question about a dish or are unsure about what’s in it. You can make a special request to withhold certain items from the dish depending on how it’s incorporated just let them know.Parking: I went for lunch and did not encounter valet parking, it was open parking in the lunch time. However, as the restaurant was getting ready for dinner, the valet parking requirement was instituted and the restaurant parking lot is off-limits unless you’re willing to do valet. There are cones and signs, indicating as such as well as staff on hand for valet.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant could be kid friendly, but given the pricing of the food I don’t really see this being a place for children. I would suggest that if you did want to bring children to come during the earlier part of the day as there is going to be more kid friendly food. The evening menus suggest that it’s more for adults and drinking.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible in that they have a upper level that is flat with the entry area that you can wheel around to. There is also a ramp to access the window seating area. The only level that seemed in accessible by a wheelchair would be the lower level as I only saw stairs going to that level. I did not see an elevator.
