Got food to go to share with my daughter and her friends. SO good! Loved it - I was visiting from Idaho and the Chinese restaurants there area meh... The food we got at Chef Zhao was over the top delicious, Everyone really enjoyed their meal and the price for everything we got for 5 people was a great value compared to the very overpriced, sub par food available where I live.

Are you craving that perfect old-school Chinese combo plate? Well, then this place has you covered. The stir-frys taste exactly as they're supposed to. Prices good. The hot and sour soup is only okay. (Big chunks of black pepper instead of the proper white pepper, and the soup had too much soup and not enough stuff in it, but can I really complain about a free cup of hot and sour soup? Well, if they want to up their game then they can read and learn). Incredibly nice service. You will be glad you came.

Excellent food at a good price. Everything we ate was delicious, well cooked, and arrived in a timely manner. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Highly recommend the soup dumplings, worth the 15 minute wait.

Just ordered sesame chicken, eggplant, sweet and sour tofu, and crab wontons -- so good!! The best I've had in Portland and will absolutely order again. The sesame chicken and s&s tofu were especially good.
