ordered Dynasty chow mein with chicken and shrimp. Online the price was $11.95. when i went to pick up the food they charged me $12.95. When i told the Online price they said we don't know. When i brought the food home, The chicken pieces were size of a peanut and the shrimp was tiny shrimp. It was not like this before. The price went up and the quality is very very low.
Not worth going there.

Not only was the service awful , it took forever and I was charged for packets and for fortune cookies. What Chinese restaurant doesn't give out fortune cookies with purchase and also why the packets of hot mustard , no authenticity at all ?!?!
The woman was very cold and rude. The food honestly is way over priced. I will NOT be back and I WILL be telling this to others how awful a experience it was.

Place is empty on a Friday dinner rush for a obvious reason.

Waste of time And money.

Went for dinner tonight with my kids. The waitress was super nice and friendly. Nice food and good taste!

The atmosphere is escapism from the hustle and bustle of inner Portland: Lloyd District. The employees are very friendly and funny: in a very Chinese kinda' way ;-) There is a local bar scene off to the left, to the right is maybe 10 booths, and behind that there are 2 banquet rooms. The food is generally good, the prices fair under the circumstances (2025), the atmosphere is perfect 100% Chinese. Reminds me of some of the off alley restaurants I eat at while in China for 1 year: Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Weihai, ect. But only a few people here (all take-out orders)...so I miss the NOISE....and the CROWD.....of China....other then those 2 things....I love this place. Oh, and the outside could use a bit of paint and a pot-hole or two filled in the parking lot. But for me, it's what's inside.

Worst barbecue pork and fried shrimp I've ever had in my 61 years of eating Chinese food. I don't try to do this very often to somebody but this was not very good. The batter on the shrimp was almost not cooked at all the barbecue pork there was just flat something wrong with it. The bathroom look like something in a prison

Came across this place in search for gluten free Chinese food and it definitely hits that spot—they can make a bunch of different things on their menu gluten free if you specify and I'm very thankful for that! Looove the bbq pork fried rice :)

I tried them during COVID and they were awful. But, so good Chinese is hard to find in PDX, I have them another try after people saying good things on reddit
Well it was just as bad if not wise. The pork was SOGGY, limp and cold. The streamed dumplings were mostly dough, and the rice enough for a single bowl, we had to make our own.
Learned my lesson

The food was undercooked no Hospitality no napkin silverware condiments on tableI I was actually bad mouth because I got up to get my own napkins and soy sauce I was scream at it was at that point I decided I didn't want the food nor the poor service so I left and I will never return back to that establishment ever again and I will pass the word on

This place is not good! I ordered sauteed vegetables with no broccoli and no bamboo shoots I got a half a bowl of vegetables no sauce on it. And they charged me $12.50 for it. I called to let them know they told me they didn't know how to make it the way I was asking. I'm sorry but I'll never patronize this place again.

Can’t really rate atmosphere, as I got delivery. General tso chicken was terrible, stringy and tough. The eggroll was actually somewhat decent, if soggy, and maybe is the only thing I’m glad I got. On Uber eats it was totally unclear that you get rice with an entree; so I paid extra for more rice I didn’t need. This place used to be better, but wasn’t impressed this time. Had ordered enough to have leftovers, but won’t be keeping them.

I recommend Chen's to anyone. Looking for a great atmosphere, friendly workers with exceptional service, some grub at a reasonable price. Gotta head towards Chen's, they'll make you wanna forget all the other choices when deciding where to dine.
