Many years ago I visited this restaurant, mostly for takeout. I like the typical breakfast that comes with their fried plantains, watery beans and cheese. I recommend that if you go, call ahead if you want your order to take away.
Chepe’s in Gresham offers fantastic Salvadoran food with a unique beach vibe. It’s one of the only spots on Portland’s eastside with a beach volleyball court, making it a perfect place for food and fun!
Food is very good and best Salvadorean restaurant I've had in Oregon. Highly recommend. Only complaint is that when you walk in you have to figure out that you have to go to the left to the cash register and order the food and pick out your own table. Makes it awkward when you've never been there and are looking at the menu the whole time the cashier is just staring at you. Would be better if they brought the menu to you so you have time to look and don't feel rushed...
