Joy, you were a delight and your food made me happy dance on the first bite! This was randomly picked stop on the way home and I'm SO happy we gave it a try. Got the 3 meat plate and lumpia because I wanted to try as much as possible. ❤️

Food is absolutely fire and the family who runs it are the nicest people ever! My wife's favorite plate for lunch and she adores their pork belly and rice! Even when they are slammed? They make sure you are hooked up and the food is always made with love!

AMAZING ribs and chicken, amazing special rice, amazing salad dressing, been coming here for months staff is so nice, I recommend this to everyone. The meat was perfectly charred, wow amazing ☺️

Really great food at a good price. I actually didn't think I'd like the chicken salad but gave it a try and the freshness of the ingredients and overall flavor totally won me over. Super friendly folks. Good value, great food, something different and definitely worth it.

This is the first restaurant I tried in Portland and it sets a high standard.

I've never had Chamorro before, and it's some good stuff, the titiyas are a cool coconut flavored flatbread, and I got the All 3 Fiesta Plate to get a bit of everything.

I think the Chicken and Pork Belly is their best. It's got a balanced flavor that pairs well with their buttery rice.

It was our second time here and I must tell you that this is the spot for families who want to hang out or even for anyone! I would say this is a family friendly spot though since there are benches and a little place for corn hole while you wait for your food! I would come here every weekend if I did not live so far away!

Being from the Guam, we are so thankful to have found Chochu Island BBQ! Food is always good and flavorful-- big portions too! Always a stop to go to when we visit Portland! 10/10 highly recommend

Probably one of the best BBQ places on the east side that I can find. My favorite is the chicken BBQ plate which comes with salad, red rice, boneless chicken slices, and a special vinegar based sauce which is mildly spicy. Everything is quite good.

I LOVE chochu local! The pork belly is amazing. If it’s available, the banana lumpia is fantastic as a dessert as well. Joy, who I believe is the owner, is so friendly and very warm and welcoming every time I come back. I can’t recommend it enough!
