Excellent beer and great service!
We were so stoked when we learned Chuckanut was opening a tap house in Portland! We were glad to drive hours to get some of the best lagers in the PNW, but 15 minutes is a lot better!
Wanted personal medical information just to be able to walk through the restaurant without a mask to our seat. Rude and not worth your time
Straight up amazing beer and the food was tasty, but service left me a little wanting. In total, we were there for an hour and a half before we got our food (which we ended up having to get packaged up to go due to the delay). Other tables were attended to pretty frequently, but we kinda hung out for a good 20-30 min after getting our first round of drinks for more drinks or food, but by then we didn't have time for a second round or to eat.

Chuckanut Brewery P. Nut Beer Hall is a cozy spot with a hidden gem of a beer selection. With a focus on German-style beers, including IPAs, visitors can enjoy a wide range of brews. The beer hall has a relaxed atmosphere, complete with outdoor seating, foosball, dartboards, and a back room with a TV for catching games. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering style recommendations and plenty of samples. Must-try beers include the Pilsner, Rauch Helles, and their especially known kolsch.
For bargain hunters, specials on liter pours happen every Friday, and events are often posted on Instagram. The bar is small with only a few seats, but there’s plenty of other seating. While the location may not be ideal for some, the beer quality is excellent—clean, flavorful, and true to style. The brewer has decades of experience, and the bartenders provide great service with good conversation. Pinball machines and a nice little outdoor patio add to the inviting vibe. Go for the beer and the friendly atmosphere.
