I visited Portland from Wisconsin on vacation. I was really excited to try a variety of local ciders. Unfortunately, when I arrived at Cider Bite at 1pm today (Sunday, August 3rd), it was still closed. I thought it was no big deal because I had arrived right at the listed opening time. I waited at a table outside for 15 minutes, then went across the street and had some pizza at another place. Upon leaving the pizzeria, it was 2:30pm. Cider Bite was still closed. I checked social media and there was no mention of being closed today. Extremely disappointed.

Edit to respond to owner response: If you have a small business and you want it to thrive, you have to take responsibility for your own actions. Sure, things happen. Make a quick Instagram or fb post. Put a sign on the door, if possible. Ignoring your stated hours without communicating a change to customers will have negative consequences. Wish you the best but not changing my rating.

I came back to this bar after remembering how much I enjoyed the cider, as I had a great jalapeno cider the last time I visited. I enjoyed a habanero cider this visit very much. I also ordered a pizza which was kind of mediocre, so I wouldn't recommend here for the pizza, but the tap selection is great!

Great selection of PNW ciders. By the pint, half pint or 5 oz tasters. Some GF and other foods, a few beers.

I love this place. Such a cozy little tap house. Great cider. Good food selection and quality for such a small place. Stupendous staff! Great place!

If I could 2500 stars, I would! I am not normally a cider drinker, so my wife and I got a flight…wow oh wow! It was sooooo good, we got another flight and 2, 1/2 pints! The owner was EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and KNOWLEDGEABLE about the ciders! I highly recommend the peach and loganberry!
We also had the hummus and pita…chefs kiss! One of our FAVORITE places on our vacation to Portland!

Disappointed in the cider selection the last time we stopped by. Too many beers on tap. For people with celiac disease, there's more risk of cross contamination. The owner called me a "Karen" for voicing this concern. ? Food has always been sad.

Cider Bite is truly one of the best kept secrets of Portland!!!!

I freaking love this place. I have never been a beer drinker, and have always found myself to be a fan of cider. However typically I will find 1, maybe 2 ciders to choose from at a restaurant (IF I am lucky)

Cider bite takes cider to a whole new level. I am SO glad we came here. They have 32 different ciders to choose from on tap, all from local breweries. You can order a half pint, a pint, or sample a flight of 4 or 6. Each glass in the flight being 5.5oz.

We found this an extremely fun way to socialize and try different types of ciders. My FAVORITE was the seasonal cider called "The Hollow Jack" which features pumpkin spice undertones. TRY IT!

The food menu offers several entrees such as Brie and apple grilled cheese (it was epic) and also features multiple bar snacks like chips/hummus, chips/salsa, Trail/Nut Mix etc.

This would be an excellent place to go with a group of friends to unwind, or even a first date!
