Lovely and distinctly dark chocolate mocha. Cute place!
Great local coffee shop. I’ve been coming here for 5 years pretty regularly. Highlights include the breakfast bagel sandwich with avocado and the bean bowl.
‘Drinks were good, when we finally got them. The barista started talking to the customer behind us as soon as he came in, and continued talking to him (seemingly without stopping to breath) after we carried out our drinks. I can’t be sure he ever stopped. It’s as if we were lucky he was able to squeeze his cafe responsibilities into his conversation.
Nice place!! Good coffee
Nice little coffee shop just before you go hiking in the Forest. Helpful staff and super relaxing. The coffee was just ok.
My new husband and I stopped in at this place for lunch after we’ve visited the Rose Garden. We wanted to find a place that wasn’t located in downtown so we could avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown. We are so glad that we found The Clearing Cafe because it was a very good spot to have lunch. My new husband ordered a toasted Sammy and I ordered the tuna salad sandwich. Both sandwiches were yummy! I also ordered a strawberry scone and it tasted delicious!! An added bonus of this place is there are tables outside so we ate outside so our dog got to enjoy being with us while we ate. Overall we will make sure we come back next time we’re in Portland.
I really liked the chill vibe of this coffeehouse and the food and cappuccinos were great. The reason I go to new coffeehouses all the time is for the experience and that's what lacked here. The staff was not very engaging. When I asked what was good, the response I got was "coffee." I was looking for a little more than that.
Great breakfast ? and coffee ☕️ ?
Delicious breakfast bagel with pesto and avocado!!! ?? new favorite spot!
Small, cute little cafe. Located off the beaten path of NW. Free street parking. First time in, stopped just for a coffee but the food looked delicious. Friendly staff, good coffee. Nice outdoor seating, small indoor seating area but tables are spaced appropriately. I'll visit again and maybe bring my laptop next time. Looks like a welcoming place to sit and work.

Coffee and scone were fine. Pleasant atmosphere. Found parking a few blocks away, but best serves locals
$7 for a microwaved burrito. People were nice. Coffee was fine. But I can never forgive them for highway robbery of my $7
Bagel.Basic breakfasts. Bagel or toast mostly.Delicious but small dishes. Inside a bit crowded (covid). There is little space on the sidewalk as well.High pen price.
Great rich latte with just the right thickness of foam! Breakfast bagel sandwich was light but filling and full of flavor! Definitely recommend!
Definitely decent place to start your day.
