This place has excellent gourmet Mexican food. Friendly, quick service as well. Will be back
Colibri delivers on all fronts—amazing food, great service, and a cool vibe. The burrito was hands-down the best my husband's ever had: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The tamales and ceviche were equally impressive, showcasing how much care and quality go into their dishes.
The service was top-notch, even from the server who happens to be a Manchester United fan (haha - Go ARSENAL!). They were friendly, attentive, and added a fun energy to the experience.
The laid-back, cool vibe of the place makes it a spot you’ll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend for anyone who loves fresh, authentic flavors and great hospitality!

The most authentic Mexican food in Portland. Takes me back to Mexico City. Margaritas are made from scratch. Delicious.

I had a tamale here and it was so good. Definitely the best I’ve had in Portland (and I’m originally from AZ, so I have a high bar!).

Colibri is becoming one of my favorite spots in Portland! Portion sizes are large and everything I tried was delicious. I highly recommend the frijoles puercos and the birria quesadilla.

Great little place. Food was absolutely delicious, wonderful ambiance and the music playing made it very upbeat. The staff was very friendly and would recommend, and I'd definitely go back. We had a late dinner just before closing.

We have been wanting to try this new place in the neighborhood. It was really amazing: the ribeye quesadilla was very tender and delicious plus the tamal frito with pork tamale, over easy eggs, black beans and a side order Mexican rice were so tasty and comforting. I look forward to returning.

Everything you could hope for! Andrew was an absolute peach to my friend and I. Great recommendations as well as superb attention to detail. THE HALIBUT TACO! My goodness, talk about the PERFECT ratio of breading to fish. Seriously I can say this was in top 3 tacos of my life. I am unsure which planet they get their halibut from as it was fresher and buttery-er than any halibut I’ve had here on earth. Birria is top notch. Only thing I can critique is the cevice. The sauce was great, but only a few shrimps… add a little white fish or chop up the shrimp to help incorporate. Thanks Colibri and Andrew, we will be back!

Love this spot! It's a must try! Their birria grits are one of my favorites & their cocktails are delicious! Staff is beyond excellent & gives the kinda real service that's been lost since the pandemic!
Update....each time I go back, the food & staff is still 10 stars! Special shoutout to Andrew! Made this last experience, a chef's kiss!

Excellent food, healthy, delicious. Small space, not ideal for large parties. Very happy they are in the neighborhood.

I had no idea of the stylistic differences between Northern and Southern tamales, but u do now! Turns out I like them both! This place was fantastic. Fresh and creative. Would not miss this place!
