Amazing beer & super friendly staff. This place is something special!

This place rocks. Beautifully designed interior that feels clean with a soothing cool. But those drinks!!! Love the lime-infused lager for the summer, so fresh! I crave it on warm days and wish we had it in stores! And the proprietors are just hands-down rad humans!

One of the best new breweries in Portland with delicious beers across all styles. A hugely welcome addition to Williams. Super nice people, and cozy, warm, inviting atmosphere. The entrance is easily accessible to people of all physical abilities.

Update - no longer new, but better than ever. Family friendly, and the beers just keep getting better. There's a really nice variety of sessionable beer offerings, wines, and they have a nice non-alcoholic selection.

Commensal is my favorite brewery. It's the one I go to most, and with good reason. Morgan and Mike are the absolute best.

The beer is top notch (unsurprising, with the Cascade pedigree), plus the commitment to pop-ups, markets, wine collabs, etc. makes me so happy.

We love the place so much that we also rented the place out for our rehearsal dinner, (insanely reasonable price) and then had their beer at our wedding. So know my five-star review includes that, too.

(Also low-key some of the best bread you'll ever have).

This is the best brewery in Portland. The beer is delicious (new stuff all the time), kid friendly, and the staff are great. They also bring in the best pop ups. Worth a visit

Mike and Morgan are two of the best dudes you’ll ever meet. Go get a beer or five with them at the bar, talk about life, become friends. Whatever hazy is on tap and the session IPAs are always out of control. One of the best places to hang in Portland.

The review by John Bedette is not true. The staff did not pick up or yell at the child. The staff were kindly trying to keep the child from hurting himself, he told the child to be careful around a sign that could have fallen on him if he touched it, while the parent was neglectfully letting the child roam the venue unattended and unmonitored.

The staff at Commensal is impeccable, friendly, informative when asked. The vibe is chill but sophisticated and so are the beers!

Honestly wow!!! How have I not been here before! Amazing vibes, great service, great beer!!! In and outdoor sitting :) Check them out!

Great beers and great company.

Owners were knowledgeable and friendly. Beer was great, particularly the hefe brewed with lemon zest, Horses Held. Ordered some small plates as well and the sourdough was fantastic. Will be back.

Great place to hangout with a group. We got hazy IPA - peeling eyes and a feared or loved. Both the beers were great. Smoked almonds were great too. Very simplistic interior with great options for house made beers. Walkable distance from a lot of great restaurants nearby! Outside food is also allowed here.

Wow. Fantastic, innovative beers. However, the place and people are even more impressive. VERY welcoming for all sorts of people. This is the place I want to hang out in all summer.
