That japanese lady you have making "sushi" with canned tuna, is going along with it because she hates you. Or maybe she needs the job that bad, but realistically, you are most likely a joke to her. Think about it, if there is one thing tuna from a can doesnt need, it is some bland mushy plain white rice that got mushed into a form around it. The turntable and succulents are embarassing, you seem like being outside your bedroom is a distraction for you. Please go sell your fake gas station sushi in longview or tacoma.

What a special place. The coffee is world-class, the yogurt-oat muffin is one of the greatest things you will ever taste, and sharing the in the space is an artisan who makes specialized sushi.

Most delightful little canele - Super soft and moist in the middle and crispy on the outside. Delicious!

Definitely worth stopping in, especially if you’re at Powell’s. True to Portland tradition the coffee and espresso drinks are excellent. Be patient they might be a little slow in preparation. Pastries fresh made in house and a must try.

The vibe was not with us when we visited. Kind of a small place and they didn't really have any goodies or food just drinks. It felt a little snoody and no one greeted us when we came in. Definitely a turn and burn type of establishment for me. Decent coffee.

Great vanilla latte and my husband loved the macchiato. The staff are really sweet and their yogurt pear muffin was lovely with the coffee. I would love to return here and try their other pastries.

Love this little coffee shop shared with Soen's japanese food items. They roast their own coffee. Their drip coffee option is almost always a wonderful single origin offering. There are coffee bean bags available for purchase. Their canele pairs so nice with the coffee. One of their fall seasonal drinks is a kokuto hojicha milk tea and that milk texture has been unforgettable. We also like to add a menu item from Soen's seasonal offerings which have included dango, inari, and curry & rice, and many more (follow their Instagram to know more). Kakigori is also available in the warmer months.Seating is limited inside and outside. Street parking can be a bit tough but parking garages are nearby.

Amazing coffee. Especially their mocha. The owner always seems off and distracted. Lacks social skills to serve. Messes up orders and forgets. Usually overseas my presence even though I am a regular and tip always.

Great place to get a small pastry or drink that is located next to Sizzle Pie. We had a canele from here as we also wanted shaved ice from Soen. The service here is very friendly and quick. The canele was delicious and worth checking out.

This place has some really good shaved ice! It's a small counter located in Courier Coffee. They also have small snacks to eat. We got the Hojicha Kokuto Kinaco shaved ice, and it was pretty good. I liked the hojicha flavor and the combo with sweet adzuki beans. It's a pleasant dessert that's not too heavy. It's definitely worth a try.

This small coffee and tea shop is easy to miss. But don't. We came here for the summertime shaved ice but got tempted into getting cafe beverages and caneles. The cantelope kakigori was fruity, addicting, and very refreshing. The yuzu mint was not overwhelming so it's fine even if you're not a mint lover. The canele pastries were custardy on the inside with a caramelized crust on the outside. They go well with black coffee or espresso beverages. I had mine with a mocha which they made with grated dark chocolate. The bitterness paired well with the sweet treats. Overall, everything was tasty here so my only regret is not getting to try more. The food can run out and they're only open until 3pm so come early if you want the goods.

Wow, the coffee was amazing. Got myself an Americano and it may have been one for the smoothest I've ever had. Thus a good rating. Not to the not so great... We came about 5 minutes after open. We were told they needed another 5 min. That's ok. But then it ended up taking close to 15 more minutes with groups of people starting to line up waiting with us. Then when we got in they were still not really set up. I was the first to order and my drink still took another 10 minutes. Also, we were excited to try pastries but they only had cookies ready when we got there. When we left around 10 they were just pulling out muffins. The canele we did order once we saw it pulled out they said would need to cool down to really enjoy. Personally I think they should have baked it off earlier so that customers can enjoy it right away.
