Food was outstanding! We had the carpaccio and crudo to start, carpaccio was the show stopper. Trout and pork for mains, both cooked excellently, and then had the sorbetto and pana Cotta for dessert. The quality of ingredients and flavor/texture combinations were amazing! The service was so-so, told them it was a special occasion in advance but no acknowledgement of that. The server also gave us some awkward guidance when selecting wine, and wasn't super warm or friendly. Tables were pretty close to each other, it felt like we were spilling off a little with two entrees and drinks.Dietary restrictions: Amazing selection of gluten free appetizers and entrees!!

Hello BB

Came here a couple times before, but this was super disappointing. It took an hour and twenty minutes for us to get our food, and the server barely checked on us. Overall the service was really poor, and food was pretty mediocre compared to previous times we've been here.

Sadly, I had one of the worst meals ever!!. I have eaten at Dame many times.I had ordered the squash soup and Risotto. The soup came out first, visually very disappointing, no creme fresh or olive oil livening up the visually appealing and unfortunate it was very salty I almost sent it back, but I was famished. Next came the worst dish of Risotto, again nothing to liven up the visual appeal and trust me when I say it really looked like vomit and it was served on a plate! I took a couple of bites and then no more , way to salty again and a strange after taste of spoiled lemon. One of my dinner companions ordered the same dish and hated it more than I did (if possible) . Both plates were sent back, and we were comped that dish.On an up note, the desserts were delicious and definitely made by a different chef.

Was lucky enough to get a walk-in spot at the counter at Dame last night. I’ve been there before and enjoyed the food, service and wine that was on the list. Last night however I had the cappelletti pasta. It was so delicious. Bursting with flavor in every bite. The Caesar was also delicious. The bartender was our server and his professional service along with his wine recommendations and great cocktails made for an evening worth reviewing here!

Dame needs to get it together and proactively close down Google profiles for former partners that shared their space. It really sucks to drive 30 mins expecting Mexican food and arrive to only find pasta. The gal working there said “oh yeah we know it’s a problem”. I went and marked the Clandestino listing closed for them on the spot, and it showed as Permanently Closed within minutes. Same goes for matta and others.

Had such a great experience at Dame! We really appreciated the attentive and helpful service and the atmosphere was perfect. We had an upscale experience all around without things being stuffy at all. Food was amazinggg, we had the cacio e pepe and winter risotto and both were phenomenal. Definitely will be coming back!

I think Dame tries a different take on Italian but ultimately fails spectacularly. The focaccia is comparable to a pound cake and the cappelletti was mediocre. Great service was the redeeming quality.

Enjoyed wine and dinner. Tried the 3 red wines (Loire, French Gamay Noir, OR Gamay Noir) and enjoyed the option for 1/2 glasses of wine. The beet salad was fantastic, so much flavor. The brussel sprouts were also good. The trout was fabulous, and the pork chop was moist and delicious. We sat at the bar. Atmosphere and service were great. Will be back!

Party of 6 for wife’s 40th bday dinner - We all LOVED the food! Summary/Highlights: all the pastas were amazing but the squid ink was our least favorite, for apps we all loved the salad & focaccia. Entrees: the Trout was the best trout I’ve had in my life. Full Review: We made a reservation with the RESY app and were seated in the back room where we shared a table with two seatings. It was plenty big though and was at least one chair between groups so we weren’t exactly next to each other. All of us on one end. I ordered two bottles of sparkling Rose to start for the group along with with every appetizer except the soup. Olives were just olives and are tasty but I could skip that next time. Focaccia was amazing and so were both salads. We shared everything family style. We all enjoyed the pastas so much. So light and fresh, seriously so good. We got every pasta dish. The Cacio e pepe was good, the raviolis were so good, and the butternut one AMAZING. The squid ink wasn’t bad but it was very soupy:lots of broth with a lemon flavor and the squid ink flavor is kind of lost. The trout was also a crowd favorite and I really believe the best I’ve ever had anywhere hands down. We also got the pork chop which was tasty but maybe we were all too full by this point to say it was amazing. Desserts also good. Highly recommend this restaurant and staff. We really had a great experience. Too busy and didn’t take photos.

We stopped because we were picking up our in-laws from the airport, and I wanted to have a good meal if I was coming all the way from Eugene. What I didn't expect was to have one of the best meals of my life! The atmosphere was lovely, though the music was a little loud. Our server was nice and knowledgeable of the menu, and the food was out of this world phenomenal.Everything we got was treated simply and with love. The warm olives were soft and fruity, the Focaccia had a beautiful crust with a delightful soft spongy crumb, the sprouted broccoli had a bold char flavor, and the squid ink pasta was the best pasta I have ever had. The pasta had a wonderful chew, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the broth was a deft balance of unctuous fat, slight heat from the Calabrian chiles, and well-rounded tomato flavor. For dessert we had the ricotta doughnuts which were tender, peppery, and served with a bright lemon curd. I would gladly go here time an time again. It far exceeded my expectations for a good meal after terrible Portland traffic, and made navigating the insane Thanksgiving traffic more than worth it! If you have a chance to go here DO IT!What are you waiting for? GO NOW!The owners, chefs, and staff truly have something special here and I hope they continue this great work of love as long as it brings them joy.Parking: street parking only, but we found a spot fairly easily and didn't have to pay.Kid-friendliness: Don't bring your kids here unless they're little food freaks.
