Honestly, Dar Salam is one of my favorite spots. Every time I go, it's just a fantastic experience.
The food? So much flavor in every single dish – it really pops! You can tell they use great ingredients.
And the people who work there are just lovely. Super friendly, really helpful, and they just make you feel so welcome.
Basically, if you're looking for a place with delicious food, great vibes, and awesome service, you've got to check out Dar Salam. You won't regret it!
It’s an emotional experience for immigrants to be here. The food and service are excellent and on point.

This was one the highlights of eating in Portland. Had the mixed plate with chicken and beef, as well as the hummus appetizer. Also tried the mint lemonade. The flavors are amazing and our server was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you want to treat yourself.

Loved the falafel rice plate that comes with a side of to-die-for chickpea stew. The stew is thick and wonderfully flavored and I used is as a warm dip for my side of pita.

A new favorite. Attended a concert at Alberta Rose & this is across the street. Great food, service & atmosphere. Plus, the red wine was a Lebanese blend. Very nice. Will definitely return soon.

The food is way overpriced for what we ordered. Spent 114$ for basically 4 dolmas, 4 onion dolmas, 2 deserts, 1 meat dish and Hummus.
All food had a werid unauthentic taste for the dolmas, husband meat dish/kebab tasted like ground up hamburger meat with zero seasoning, only thing that tasted well was the Hummus, Nd one bbq onion but how can you mess that up. Desert was dry and flavorless couldn't taste rose water, or even honey just dry and butter.
Wouldn't recommend disappointing
Heard good things about this place was excited to try but honestly wouldn't spend 24$ on 4 dolmas.

Loved! Food was delicious. Atmosphere was like an old established restaurant. Felt like I was eating in another country. Can't believe I've lived in PDX for 30 years and just came to DarSalam for the first time. It won't be my last!

First time here for a business meeting and wanted to try Halal food. Worth the drive! The staff was very knowledgable and helped with great recomendations. Was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. Everything from the flavors to presentation was just phenomenal. Truly glad I visited this place.
What I ordered:
1. Chicken with rice plate (it came with chickpea stew and vinegarette salad
2. Hummus (comes with one pita bread)
3. Mint lemonade with rose water mix (delicous!)
