Great food in a diverse small-plates format, with a formidable wine list and knowledgable and personable staff! Davenport is our “go to” neighborhood gem.

We are always delighted by both the food and the service. It is truly a Portland treasure!

If you go to Davenport to fill up on food, you're going there for the wrong reason. When one dines at Davenport, expect an amazing balance of food, flavor, exquisite presentation, and combinations of flavors that will leave you longing to return. You will not have an inexpensive dinner, but everything that you eat and drink is perfect. Isn't life the pursuit of perfection?

Great time at Davenport! It's an intimate restaurant with an open garage window and dim lighting with a peak into the kitchen and a lovely bar seating area! The meal was good, our favorites were the oysters, cheese plate, clams, and crab balls! Lots of wine options but not a lot of non alcoholic mocktails

We loved everything except the special. The crab balls, radicchio salad, and seared albacore were great. The special was pork shoulder cooked in a tomatillo sauce with “masa dumplings”. While the sauce was nice the pork was not well trimmed and had very large portions of fat. The dumplings needed some fat whipped into them before simmering as they were dense and dry.

Every time we go we have an amazing meal. This time the standouts were the Fried Crab Balls and the Lamb Belly Pinwheel. And of course the service is always professional and perfect.

Really over-delivered as I had never been before and didn't quite know what to expect from this smaller restaurant. Food was very flavorful without being overly spiced or sauced. Just a lovely dinner experience all around.

The food was good. There was nothing bad to complain about except that maybe the portions were a bit small. Nothing stood out as "amazing" but was a good meal. We probably wouldn't go back again because there are so many other great restaurants, but it was still a nice time.

I've been wanting to come here for years and finally decided to seize the day. I'm so glad I did! I had the baguette, Radicchio salad, Halibut, and desert. Everything was fabulous. Flavors in the Halibut were amazing! Space is cozy, simple, elegant and very comfortable. Lot's of wood accents. Service was excellent. Places like this are what taught me how much flavor food can have and turned me into a Foodie. My list of favorites in PDX now has a new entry! Can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing experience at Davenport - why didn't I know about this restaurant before? Every bite was a taste sensation, from the crab cakes (with lemon grass and ginger!) to the eggplant (thick slices of eggplant rolled around a scrumptious mix of cheese and tomatoes and baked to perfection) to the radicchio salad and pâte! Our group was 5 people so we ordered one serving of so many dishes and shared - they were all amazing. We even shared a couple of the best ever burgers. The menu changes daily based on what's fresh - and I m sad aout this because the menu we had was perfection and I'd order every dish again. But I will trust the next visit will unveil an equally tantalizing array of options. Will definitely go there again. You should go too!

Davenport never fails to please. Kevin is an excellent chef. The menu depends on what's fresh, and the dishes combine known and untried ingredients to make interesting flavor combinations. Highly recommended.

The radicchio salad was way too bitter. Needs more apple and maybe a creamier dressing. The ahi crudo with coconut just seemed confusing. We thought it would be Fijian based on the ingredients. The salted pickle was not necessary. The dish had no pop. The scallops and shrimp were delicious. We had higher expectations than what was delivered.

We have always enjoyed our dinners at Davenport. We particularly like Jeremy, the Sommelier . He pairs the wines with the food exceptionally well.

Fantastic place and one of my favorites. The food is extraordinarily delicious and the best ingredients. Precise flavors not masked. Great place
