So happy to have a vegan spot. The barista (not sure of her name but new to Portland was kind and a great listener). Used to frequent in the past but the music was too loud. This time it was perfect, cafe music not kitchen music. They have a lovely WIDE bar at the window, unlike the 6" wide ones at many places.
I did not love the Portal brand matcha. Would frequent more if the matcha was better, like Mizuba which only a couple of place in Portland use (maybe due to the price point). They use a high quality CLEAN oat milk.
Would also love more soy free food options. Bring back the beet salad and kofta :-). I would also love pastries/sweets with coconut sugar or maple instead of cane sugar but I know the price point makes that prohibitive.
Go try them out. I simply listed my suggestions above, but they have many great items on the menu!

Maybe they're training a new front cashier, but she doesn't have the greatest customer service and gave me the wrong sandwich. I had to walk back and ask for a new sandwich as the one they gave me was wrong and not warm. The new one was okay - English muffin needs to be toasted more and the just egg is very crumbly. Not sure if I'll be back ??

I really dug the atmosphere here and staff was very kind. The decaf, however, I cannot recommend. I cannot drink caffeinated, so possibly only the decaf is this way but it appeared almost creamy in color/texture and tasted very odd, like fruity. It made me quite nauseous by first sip and did not taste like coffee. Staff were awesome, however, and were able to refund me. I would recommend sticking to regular coffee if you want to try this place.

Coffee was good. There were only a few pastry options, the blueberry muffin was really good. Savory items all included egg, tofu, or fake stuff. The No 6 was decent.

We got the latte, breakfast sandwiches, and kale + mango smoothie and loved it all. Very yummy awesome service. Bonus points for everything being vegan here. Will definitely be coming back!

We ordered the coffee and breakfast sandwich combos and a biscotti. The biscotti was really good and the coffee and matcha was delicious too! The breakfast sandwiches were expensive for what they were ($8) and maybe a little bit too salty. Could have benefitted from salsa or hot sauce too.
