One of my favorite spots in Portland! The pierogis are so fluffy and delicious. The tasting menu is a really great deal, especially if you are sharing with a bigger group. Can’t wait to go back here!

One of my top places for tasty polish food. Service treated us so kindly. The bill won't shock you.

Had the most delightful dinner here the night before I decided to start quarantining. Hope to go back in the future, everything was superb--an especially good drink!

My friend and I were able to meet here for dinner during restaurant month before things got too crazy. The food is magnificent!! We had really great service, delicious drinks, and really enjoyed all the food. With so many uncertainties in the world right now, it helps to savor memories of meals with friends. I hope to visit Dolores again when things return to some semblance of normalcy. The food, drinks, and ambiance will definitely be worth it!

We had a great experience here! The food was excellent, the service was good, and the ambiance was great. The gnocci was very very good. The kielbasa was out of control delicious. I will come back here again!

We were excited to try Delores. The brunch menu was right up our alley as my friends and I are carb-based life forms. While we enjoyed the food, we didn't think it was quite the quality to warrant the prices. $12 for three pierogis is a bit steep, even for Portland and the service was minimal like most Portland places. We really liked the flamingo tropical decor but the music was on the border of blaringly loud for brunch. I'm feeling that our experience was between three and four stars, hence leaving it at three for now. We came in with a reservation but there were empty tables, though how much of that is due to coronavirus scares I don't know. While waiting for the rest of the group, I got the beet Bloody Mary which was served in a shorter glass. I really liked it; I had an earthiness paired with a slight spice - much easier drinking for me than a traditional Bloody Mary (I'm not super into tomatoes). For food, we ordered many things to share. 1. Parker House Rolls ($12): 5/5, delicious, warm, fluffy buttery rolls with roe and cream cheese to spread on. While it was good, I thought it was pricey for four rolls 2. Crispy Potato Pancakes ($9): 3/5, crispy and served with sour cream and apple slivers. I'd rather have the Benedict which makes use of these 3. Kopytka ($16): 3/5, served in a cute casserole dish with a butternut squash sauce that was deliciously rich. The gnocchi themselves felt a little dry. 4. Dungeness Crab Benedict ($17): 5/5, delicious. Crispy potato pancakes topped with Dungeness crab meat, poached egg, greens and sauce. I'd get this again. 5. Potato Cheese Pierogies ($12): 2/5, not much different from a frozen one. Ours were very dry on the outside. I liked the onions that came with it but it was pricey for just three pierogi. I used to eat much better pierogi in Pittsburgh at most places. 6. Breakfast Pierogis ($14): 3/5, pierogi plate with the addition of a sunny side up egg and three strips of bacon. There was more bacon than we expected and I think the egg yolk helped with the drier Pierogis Overall it was a mixed bag. We enjoyed the food but weren't particularly impressed and for the same prices you can get more amazing food in Portland. It was nice that we didn't have to wait an hour in line and that they take reservations though.

Disappointing dinner! Came with high expectations and plans to celebrate a birthday. It all started to fall apart quickly. Food would be 2 stars-highlight was the borscht. That was actually amazing-savory, rich, tangy and absolutely delicious! Cabbage roll was mediocre, the sauce overpowered the tasty meat roll. Kielbasa, eh, right in the middle but also hardly worth a mention. And served with the worst yellow mustard. Almost worst is a tie-tough gnocchi and pasty pierogi. Are they running the potatoes through a food processor??? Nothing else explains the gluey tough potatoes dishes that are a pale comparison to their namesakes. But abosulte bottom-potato pancake. How could this go so wrong, everyone at our table ordered it. Some came out burnt and inedible. Some were golden brown but overly loaded with grease leaving pools behind. And bland-wheres the seasoning, the onion the tang the flavor??? Service was fine, 3 stars. Slow but only one server for the whole room. Good wine knowledge and tried. Missed a very dirty knife and forgot the second glass of the wine pairing but they tried. Wine was overpriced. They are trying to show off cool local wines but its not approachable and paired poorly with the food. Summary-could have been great but everything missed the mark. Stay home with a nice bottle of wine and some Mrs Ts pirogies and your stomach and wallet will be better off.

First visit, for Portland Dining month. Delicious food presented beautifully, generous portions, good wines and cocktails and enthusiastic wait staff made a perfect meal. We will be back!

One of the best places I've had the pleasure to eat at. The golobki (cabbage rolls) where awesome. So was everything we tried. Will be back for sure.

Super tasty. Highly recommended. Let’s keep these small restaurants alive. Let’s eat!

They take reservations which is always a huge plus for me in Portland, especially for brunch. We enjoyed all the food we tried (breakfast pierogi, dumpling weeks' special Big Mac pierogi, French toast, and potato cakes). The place is also adorably decorated. I'd recommend for a date or meal with friends. I'd recommend moreFord older kids. Took my toddler aged kids, and there are no high chairs, kids cups (everything is glass), or super kid friendly food or drink options. My foodie kiddo liked all the food, but the picky eater didn't eat much. Accessibility wise, the entrance is a little tight and tables are fairly close together but someone with a cane/walker would likely be able to easily get around, while a wheelchair or stroller would be a very tight fit. It's well-lit, and music was a bit loud but not overwhelmingly so.

I've wanted to go out to for Polish food, and still hadn't recovered from a favorite place (on Hawthorne) that closed many years ago. After waiting nearly a year (hesitant due to Polish friends expressing reservations due to perceived high prices) - finally went with my wife and another couple (she being Polish, AND a great cook). We went on a Monday (Marczewski Night - in honor of the owner's mother), wisely made reservations (they turned away some folks) - and took advantage of that day's prix fixe menu. At $30 (at the time of this writing), after we enjoyed every course, we all agreed what a ridiculous value it was for the quality and amount of food we received. All of the food may not appeal to every person's taste ("this is NOT like my grandma's borscht!", etc.) - it's simply VERSIONS of some Polish classics, freshly prepared with quality ingredients. From the borscht already mentioned (delicious), to the potato pancakes, piroshki, golabki, kielbasa, and dessert (cream-filled paczki)...it was a great experience. Add some solidly mixed cocktails (we each tried a different cocktail, and were all satisfied), some solid-if-not spectacular service, and we'd do it again.

We had a wonderful meal here. Opted to order half the menu instead of the $55 tasting menu and it was worth it as we tried exactly what we wanted to. Standouts were the stroganoff toast and the pirogi. The sever was fantastic and obviously enjoyed working there. It was a little loud at times for conversation but at least the music was good!

I feel really bad only giving two stars as the place has terrific atmosphere and is beautiful decorated. I has some type of gonocii in a butternut squash and the whole dish was just overly salty and oddly sour. I love fermented foods, just the combination was awful. I dove there specifically for pierogies and found out they done use mashed potatoes in their dough so I just skipped.

We came here as a party of four before seeing a show at Revolution Hall. It was a bit of serendipity, as we were actually planning to eat at another place but the wait was too long there. Delores found room for us and it was such luck! I tried a whiskey cocktail, which was excellent, and we ordered a number of dishes to share - like Polish tapas. We started with the brussels sprouts and the little gems salad, both of which were fantastic with fairly large portions. The sprouts were well-charred with a decadent sauce, and the salad was simple but so fresh-tasting. Then we shared an order each of the potato and duck confit pierogies. Not huge portions but really excellent flavor. Finally, we had the cabbage rolls and the kopytke (sp?). They were both good - the cabbage rolls were bigger than we expected, with two about the size of a large fist each, but it was the kopytke that really blew us away. An amazing balance of flavors! I think it would have been too decadent to eat an entire portion myself, but shared amongst four, it was a delightful end to a delightful meal. We will definitely be back.
