Never disappointed ordering Dil Se. I had the chance to dine in pre-pandemic and was very impressed with their chicken vindaloo. Really hoping they can reopen for dine-in sometime.

If you love Indo-Chinese (or just Indian) food then you have to try this place. I absolutely love their Gobi Manchurian as well as the noodles/fried rice. The malai kofta here is also really stellar—very moist and not dry like most Indian places. Spice level is perfect to me (the “normal” spice is probably what most other Indian spots consider “hot”). Take out only is a bummer, but still an awesome place to grab an easy dinner.Vegetarian options: Huge veggie section and most dishes can be made vegan. As a meat eater, I almost exclusively order veggie dishes here, which says a lot.

This is one of my favorite spots for Indian cuisine in downtown Portland. It’s currently only a to go restaurant which is a shame, but the service is great and the food is amazing. Be warned, spicy does mean spicy here unlike most Portland restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed the curry, and the portion sizing is quite fair for the price. (See receipt)

Please consider making it explicit in your title or in the very first words of your About section that you’re only offering takeout. E.g. how about [TAKEOUT ONLY], [NO DINE-IN], etc? It would help better inform customers looking to dine in. Thanks.

Didn’t like the food at all. This is not authentic Indian food. Everything was sweet and oily. Wouldn’t recommend.

This place makes the best Indian food in Portland, but since COVID, it is take out only. Don't be deceived that there are no tables to eat and the space of the restaurant is being used for storage now. It's a bit odd. But I'm telling you this, you WILL NOT be disappointed, but you will be missing out if you don't order their food. I've been to India four times, I've had great Indian food in India, but nothing comes close to the food at Dil Se. Their paneer Tikka is so friggin good, their malai kofta is not over sweet, their chole batura is so flavorful. Every dish is amazing.Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options, and their veg dishes are better than their non-veg options

Tried this place for the first time. Found them through Uber Eats. Wanted to dine in but this place is only takeaway. Ordered Guttivankaya Curry, Chicken 65, Chicken and Egg Fried Rice and Gobhi Manchurian. Curry was ok but the other dishes were too good. You could get that real Indian Chinese taste. Everything was yummy, rightly priced and well portioned Recommended!!

We’ve had some good experiences getting takeout here in the past, but this time the food came out unusually cold and the chicken pieces were raw. With no indoor seating and only offering to-go, you’re better off getting food from someplace else.

Dil Se Indian is in my personal Top 3 of Indian restaurants on the West Coast. The prices are great for such insane flavor and generous portions. I haven't had a dish here I haven't liked yet. The Chennai Curry is one of our favorites. It has a unique blend of warm spices. Their raita is the perfect consistency in my opinion, neither too thick or too thin. Even something as simple as their Vegetable Fried Rice is delicious. We haven't ever dined in, since we only discovered them after COVID, so I can't attest for how it is in-house, but takeout and delivery, this restaurant is a regular staple for us when we don't feel like cooking.

Ordered to-go from here on my way home from work and the tikka was cold to the touch and the chicken was raw and pink. Disappointing that i had to throw it all in the microwave to cook it completely. Its also disappointing that they have closed their indoor seating and only offer to-go orders. Theres many other indian places that make better food, so if youre ordering to-go, order from somewhere else.

Good food with attentive customer service. It's a little pricey but you get large portions even for lunch. Garlic Naan was awesome but the Chicken Tikka Masala I ordered could have used a bit more flavor. Definitely recommend though and will be back again!

Ordered butter masala with chicken, samosas, malai Kofta and na'an. It was all so very good and the portion size is fantastic. We have enough for another full meal tomorrow. The rice was so well cooked and seasoned, something a lot of places overlook. I'll be eating in the next time I'm visiting.

I got Dal Tadka and Malai Kofta. Both the dishes were bad. There was no salt in either of them. The kofta had a weird undercooked taste.I used to be a fan of their Malai Kofta but since they stopped their dine-in, their food quality has taken a nosedive. This order was possibly my last one with them.
