Best BBQ in Portland. Of course this is unofficial, but confirmed through various sources. I had the pulled pork bowl over cheesy grits. It was beautiful, delightfully delicious and substantial! Covered tables with heat lamps for seating. Street parking easily available. Small free library available if you want to come by yourself and read, but definitely a community gathering place - great place to meet neighbors that chat with each other around the beer spot cart next door. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Absolutely OUTSTANDING BBQ food. Got the chance to chat at length with the owner (Sam) who's an absolute wealth of information on BBQ. The ribs were tender and sweet, with some nice acidity. The coleslaw is an incredible pairing with the ribs. The baked beans are the best I've ever had in my life, hands down. If you love BBQ you need to visit dinner bell.

Always consistent and hits the spot. Best bbq spot around town. Simple menu and everything is awesome. Dude is hard working. Mad respect. Good area. Easy parking. I visit almost once a week for lunch.

I am from Louisiana and my brother in law was Tennessee Red from TRBC (back in the day), so I've had excellent southern BBQ before. Dinner Bell BBQ is right up there! The cheese grits are a MUST. The mustard greens are the best I've EVER had....I'm SO glad we found them . Husband had the Pulled Pork Plate....he is still licking his fingers "dee ee licious"! I had Shrimp and Cheese Grits Plate. BEST SHRIMP IN AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER!!!!.. reasonable pricing. Our combined plates were $25. Go there. go there now.
