Hosted a bar crawl meetup with Dixie’s as our 2nd stop since I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and wow. Had 14 people with us in total, Our group noticed a guy that kept taking pictures of women’s chests and trying to upskirt. We told the guy to knock it off after several of us noticed him successfully grab chest shots of the ladies with us. Guy and his friends start calling the 1 black guy in our group the you know what word and trying to get us to fight them. We went to get security, they go talk to the guy, chat for a minute. Then kicked half of our party out for “being rude” mostly the impacted ladies and our understandably irate black friend.

Not even at a moral level, economically how do you justify losing 10+ people to a group of 3 getting in our face and trying to fight us over not wanting them to blatantly harass women and black people. Just an overall joke for security staff, it used to be so much better at kicking out scum but now just supports it.

Dixie Tavern located in seedy Chinatown is a popular spot for bar crawlers, misfits and dabblers alike. The whole area is blocked to traffic on Friday and Saturday nights as there are multiple bars a stones throw away from one another. If you like music, people, dancing, greasy bar food and or alcoholic bevvies, neon lights- you'll get all that & even more than you bargained for if you pay Dixie a visit this weekend... Oh and, If you're a female, bring a buddy and plan to take an Uber or a Lyft home for sure!

Bar with several tv screens playing videos, sports and news. Visited on Sunday afternoon, not too many people inside.

Atmosphere is relaxed, but upbeat. A great place to unwind after a long day. Food is also excellent, especially for the price!

They want $20 a person to get in on the weekends ... not worth it.

Door man who looks like Shavo Odadjian refused me entry when they thought my ID was fake. They then passed it off to another security guard who ran off inside the building with it. Effectively detaining me in place since they took my ID and would not return it upon request. Had to have a police Sargent come down to school the doormen on DPSST laws, they apologized but they need to learn that even if they do suspect a fake they can’t detain you and have to return the ID. They’re single handedly opening Dixie’s up to a lot of litigation. If I really wanted I could bring the doorman up on charges for false detention. Not to mention the level of arrogance and unprofesinalism off both of them. TL;DR Get new doormen who know how to be a bouncer and don’t need to be showed how to do their job by cops.

We came here for burger week accidentally, and were treated to the absolute sweetest staff and service the whole way through. They had a rubber ducky night? Very cute- but even cuter they just kept bringing us more because we told them about how our car had been recently robbed of our rubber ducky collection. By the time we left, server Elizabeth had gotten us drinks, incredibly perfect burgers, and we had made friends with Dan and Nicky who are truly the heart and soul of Portland- so kind and genuine- their warmth radiates and they truly made the experience so welcoming and fun! They have made lifelong customers. Please enjoy this true gem of pdx friends!!

This is an awesome club to check out if you like music and meeting people. They put on a sweet dance show. Towards the end of the night, the floor was full of people dancing. It’s located in a great spot. I can’t wait to go back. The service was awesome!

I come here with a group of my friends every Thursday for line dancing. The staff is amazing and kind. Reasonably priced food and drinks. The instructors are amazing. All in all a fantastic place to unwind after the work week!

Easily sound of the worst bouncers I’ve ever encountered in the history of Portland, Oregon. Wow!

Stopped in here on a whim to get a quick drink. It was empty except for a few probably regulars. It's not my vibe at all but I just wanted a drink. The bartender didn't seem interested in being there but more so in gossip with the other worker and patron. We ordered a drink the bartender recommended and it was nasty. Very weak and cheap booze. They also used warm boxed juice as the mixer. It was 27 bucks for 2 shitty drinks in dive bar. Definitely skip this place.

I always have a great time at dixie. Theyre very accommodating and don't seem to overserve people. It's always fun, no drama there. Shoutout to the owner!
