I came to get a chicken burrito for my boyfriend. I seen a sign for Tamales and thought I’d give them a try. I’d consider myself a tamales expert at this point. DUDE THE GREEN CHICKEN TAMALES GO HARD. The Habanero hot sauce is soooo fresh and spicy. I also got the cheese and pork tamale. The masa is soft, not rubbery like some places. the meat ratio is perfect . Not skimpy at all. Fresh flavors and nice spice to them. I’ll definitely be back. Sweet customer service and even sweeter Owner. It was so good I had to call back to give compliments to the chef

4/5 is only because the California burrito had undercooked potatoes. The guacamole and chips on the other hand were phenomenal and because of this led to me finishing it first before finishing the burrito. Glad I did. You also get sizable servings on the guac. Well with the price.The atmosphere is due to the fact it's in downtown Portland. As of January 2024, it's still rough especially after the recent ice storm we had in the area.

We grabbed a quick bite on the way to the Blazers game and had some of the best tacos in the PNW to date. The asada, pollo, and chorizo tacos were soooo delicious. The tortillas were perfect. The salsa verde was exactly what we wanted. And the chips and guac were fresh and flavorful. Our only regret is not going when we were hungrier and getting one of each taco! We didn’t see many places to sit, so we just set up at a nearby booth that was closed, but I think there was some seating around back. We will definitely be back when visiting Portland! And by the way, everything pictured was $18 total.
