This is one of the best dive bars around Portland. Great atmosphere, great drinks, outside area is large. Long time staff who really care about their space.

Donnie’s is the kind of place where you can get into just enough trouble and a local gem amongst the NE crowd. I’ve been coming here for over 9 years and expect a lil fun attitude, a very decent shelf, and some shenanigans come the weekend. The weekend DJs on rotation span the gamut and there is usually pockets of people (or a full on party) dancing on the weekends depending on the vibe. Bring a fun sticker and slap it somewhere. Sundays at lunch is the best time to come for a chill day, and yes they’re very dog friendly until dusk. Party on the front, patio in the back.

Bartenders are not friendly at all, at least not to people of color. They seem very unhappy about attending customers. Hot dogs are cool but priced at $8. DJ was great, played funk, cumbia, HipHop. Not a bad place but should consider some friendlier staff.

Great dive bar. Hot Dog, Beer and some Fritos for $13 is a steal! Awesome back patio, the vending machine you wished you had in your house as a kid and a bunch of down to earth/no bullshit folks. Love this spot
