Price has gone up so much in the past year to the point where the food and rude service isn’t worth it one day a plate is $15 next day it’s $22 next day it’s $18.75 which makes absolutely no sense to me how the price is changing but I always order the same thing
Always the best been going there for years. And make it a special trip is not a problem.

My husband and I are obsessed. We go so often that they know our order the moment we walk in

What happened? Used to be a great place to get takeout. Food was not fresh, service and overall conditions were poor.

Found this little place while on a trip to Portland & it’s amazing!!! Fast service, clean, friendly staff but the teriyaki sauce….AMAZING!!! So sweet and savory!! I made sure to buy a bottle to bring home!! If this place ever starts selling its sauce online I will be buying it monthly!

Have been dining here for more than 25 years and the food has remained consistently of a very high quality. This is not a fancy place, but it is very good.

The only complaint I have is their location, kind of hard to get parking. But this is the best teriyaki I've found within like a 50 mile radius.

Absolutely disgusting! This is by far the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The tables, floor, and even the utensils looked filthy. The teriyaki chicken was a complete nightmare — the meat was so tough and rubbery it felt like chewing plastic, and the smell was revolting, worse than rotten food. On top of that, the staff were rude, careless, and acted like they didn’t want any customers there. This place should be shut down. Horrible in every possible way — never, ever again!

Best teriyaki in Portland!

The dining area smelled like pee the last time we were there. I think that’s enough said. How hard is to keep a place clean?

I don't like being critical on the internet, because it's very hard to run a restaurant. But this place just isn't good. The chicken is too sweet and over-marinated to the point of being translucent. The rice was starchy and overcooked. Dining in was challenging, owing to the strong fabuloso and incessant slamming of the broken front door.
It could be great. It should be great. But the folks running it don't seem to have an eye for detail.

This place has really gone down hill.. i have been coming here for over 15yrs. The food sucks now and customer service poor at best. They tried to charge me extra for a couple of teriyaki sauces after I just spent damn near $50. I really miss the original family that owned thw joint. Their food was a lot better and the treated thwir cuatomers well...

Change the name to Du Du's grill. Chicken was dry, I guess white lettuce is still considered lettuce, staff were rude, and the meal gave me bubble gut. Yuck!

This place is amazing. I got the grilled chicken and it's wasn't dry at all, the sauce was a little watery but it's better than having a thick sauce for me, super family owned they care deeply. Definitely try this but understand it'll be 13+ per person :)
