This was some of the driest chicken I have ever had and the only flavor that was recognizable was onion.

Definitely not impressed. Biryani was sweet and Medu Vada was dry. This was last meal in Portland during my visit and feel bad that it ended with this.

Took someone brand new to Indian cuisine and of course it was a hit; Dwharka is always a safe predictable yummy bet. I do think they've lowered the meat in their servings though.

Small portions for the thali.. I didn't realize they make the main dish alot smaller. We have been to thali style before and they had full size main entree. All dishes were fine but lacking in complexity and creaminessKorma was lacking in richness and could have been a bit sweeter. No nuts or other things added. Pasanda was too sweet.Lamb was tender but only a couple of chunks.Curries were too spicy for one of us.Even the various thali were a bit small. The best thing was the yogurt and the lentil soup.Naan was good but some pieces were very dry and breaking apart.Plenty of rice. Will probably not go again.

Really yummy, well seasoned food! The spice level of my eggplant masala was right where I like it, a bit of heat but not so much that it overwhelmed the dish. We got a sampler of the pakoras and the breading was fantastic. I also got their mango mixed drink which was well mixed and refreshing. My friends and I shared our dishes and I enjoyed everything I tried! The server was great, personable and attentive, but gave us time to enjoy our food once we got it. Will be back when I am in the area again for sure.Vegetarian options: As expected from Indian food, there were plenty of vegetarian options, and I believe I saw some dishes with options to make them vegan if that's your dietary preference.

I live in the neighborhood and have never been there and was pleasantly surprised at how fast we got our meals and how flavorful it was. The lunch menu is reasonably priced and limited. But everything was awesome. It had a lot to sample. Soup, naan , lentils and veggies, main dish and rice. Even dessert. I'm going to go more often now. Maybe try the dinner next time.

Delicious Indian food for dine in and takeout! A little loud but the food was fantastic and the service was amazing.
Very delicious vegetarian dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Come visit if you haven't been here previously. Again the food is worth every delightful bit!

We love this place and are so so glad that it keeps going strong. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming and the food is beyond fantastic, with warm spice mixes and creamy sauces. They have an extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan menu items and a full bar.Appetizers are sized for sharing, or make a great "small plate" meal for kids. The 'spice' scale is a sliding scale from 1 to 6, with 1 being very mild and below that... a Kids Mild.My 8 year old who is in a Beige Food phase tried the Kids Mild Butter Chicken and both Spinach and Paneer Pakora and a Mango Lasse. So, there really is something for everyone!Vegetarian options: Over half the menu can be made vegetarian and many options are vegan friendlyParking: It's off Hawthorne so the street parking is kind of a nightmare. But if you are willing to walk a block or two there's usually parking in the residential blocks off Hawthorne. There is also a very small parking lot (fits maybe 10 cars) behind the building. If you're lucky there may be a spot open. It's a little claustrophobic tho, so, avoid if you're in a large truck or SUV.
If I had a superpower it would be to make butter chicken the way these folks do. Dwaraka what sort of souls contract is require for you to tell me your secret?! Most of my family picks Dwaraka as their special occasion/birthday dinner because everything this restaurant makes is so good. They always accommodate our 7-entree orders quickly and are kind to us everytime. Thanks for making our neighborhood so special!
