The Eagle Portland has evolved into one of the most welcoming and eclectic LGBTQ+ spaces in town. Once known mainly as a leather and masculine hangout, it has transformed into a truly inclusive bar that embraces every expression of gender and sexuality without losing its character or edge.

The staff is consistently warm, friendly, and quick with a pour—whether you’re craving a strong spirit or a cold beer. The vibe is both unpretentious and playful: a corner with lottery machines, a free pool table, and gay porn looping on the TVs keeps the space true to its roots.

What sets the Eagle apart is its variety of themed nights. From gamer nights to karaoke, naked pool, underwear parties, cigar and scotch evenings, red hankie events, and pup nights—there’s always something different to look forward to. It feels like a living calendar of queer culture, with each night catering to a different slice of the community.

And don’t skip the back patio. With shaded seating and gourmet hot dogs served up fresh, it’s the perfect place to relax, chat, and connect.

The Eagle Portland is more than a bar—it’s a community hub that respects its history while embracing the future of queer nightlife. Whether you’re a longtime regular or a first-timer, you’ll feel right at home.

Have been going to the Eagle for a very long time now and it’s the best it’s ever been. Love the community, the vibe and the many friends I’ve made here over the years.

Great Gay Bar. They are now serving a variety of hotdogs so you can grab a bite there. I tried them last night and was very satisfied. Very fair with drink prices and has a good vibe. I'm a regular there. It's my go-to Gay Bar. -George

Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, so wheelchairs should be good.

Flyer for the event said $5 cover did not mention it was cash only. Couldn’t get in because my atm card wasn’t working. I had debit card to pay such bs ??

Kind of the premier gay bar in this city, but it has a smoking problem. There are events every night, for a large variety of people and interests. I'm sure you will have a good time. Drinks are average price I suppose. My largest issue is the closed-in smoking area you have to walk through if you want to go to the outside patio. It's not "technically" indoors because there's a trellis for the ceiling, but it has high walls and does not have any airflow. Almost all the smokers hang out here for some reason, maybe for the seating. If you have difficulty with second-hand cigarettes or cigars you may want to avoid this middle room. I don't like going to this bar for this very reason.

Also, if you're expecting to park your motorcycle out front like most other Eagle bars, you'll be disappointed as the motorcycle spaces are usually occupied by cars. There is a sign for "motorcycle parking only" but it's ignored 100% of the time.

Definitely a gay bar. I love the outside areas
Bartenders are friendly. If you are going for the first time by yourself I recommend you sit at the bar so you can talk to who’s sitting close to you and the bartenders
I go here often!

Bar with a bear atmosphere, it is very pleasant to spend the evening drinking, I was treated very well at the bar by a man with a white beard helping us with the choice of prepared drinks, being a tourist and not an English speaker, the drinks are strong, very good, The atmosphere is pleasant, many bears of age but you feel at ease, the only thing to improve the music a little, Recommended for Latinos.

Bartender overcharged me for an extra drink as well as my friend and then decided to tip himself $15 and close my tab due to shift change when I was right there. Only my third time in the place. I asked the next bartender how that is okay and he just said is what it is you didn't close it. I was right there. You cannot just charge people what you want and tip yourself whatever you want. In some cases there is an auto 20 percent but again that is if someone doesn't close out and leaves. You charged me a 30 percent tip and again without my consent. You aren't Yakuza.

Definitely angry that it cost $10 to get in and the website wasn't updated to let you know. Website said $5I wouldn't have come and won't ever if it costs that againSo ridiculous. It looks most fun for people if they look a certain way.If you dont look the part like me you'll have a different experience.Lots of rules that only apply to people less attractive.I still like the atmosphere though.
