When it comes to satisfying lunch cravings during work hours, East Side Deli on Lombard is my go-to spot, and for good reason. This gem of a deli never fails to deliver a mouthwatering experience. My personal favorite, the spicy Italian sandwich, is a true masterpiece. Piled high with ham, pepperoni, salami, and provolone, it's a carnivore's delight. But what truly sets it apart is the combination of spicy mayo and deli mustard, adding a kick that elevates every bite. The fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncini, olives, and pickles provide the perfect balance of flavors and textures, creating a symphony of taste that explodes in your mouth with each bite. One of the things I love most about East Side Deli is the friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. Despite the lunchtime rush, the wait time for your food is refreshingly short, ensuring you can get back to work with a satisfied stomach and a smile on your face.Whether you're a local or just passing through the area, East Side Deli on Lombard is a must-visit destination for anyone craving a delicious sandwich experience. Trust me, once you've tried their spicy Italian, you'll be hooked. So next time you find yourself in the vicinity, don't hesitate to stop by and indulge in the flavor explosion that awaits at East Side Deli.Vegetarian options: The vege-italian is delicious.

The hot dog was great. Got the one with pulled pork on it. Prices are great Unfortunately the Cole Slaw was dry which was a weird combo with it being spicy. I liked the spice but didn’t say on the menu it would be. Concerned about accessibility issues considering it is a touch screen ordering place and also it didn’t take cash. Maybe if someone tapped on the glass (sign saying don’t do that), then someone could get accesible service and/or cash service?

Fantastic French Dip!3 of us ordered. 2 of us got our food in a timely manner. The 2 of us that received our food were able to eat all of it before I got up and asked the female behind the window if the sandwich that had been sitting in the window this whole time was our 3rd person's food. She replied yes and handed it out. Whenever she opened the window, she would call out peoples names for the food that was ready. She just never called out our friends name. Unfortunately, by that time our friend got her food, our lunch break was over. Ultimately, though, the food was really tasty! I'm sure it was just a minor hiccup. We'll give it another shot the next time we're in Oregon.Parking: Extremely limited street parking

Scheduled a to go order for later and they prepared it immediately anyways so by the time I got it it was soggy. Brought it up to the only employee at the register and they did not care and basically said wasn’t their problem. I usually have a great experience here so this was crazy but definitely would advise tipping AFTER you get your sandwich instead of when you prepay. Edit: I’m also missing the bacon I paid for and my pregnant wife’s sandwich is poorly made. This place went downhill.

My last 2 orders since the first of the year have been disappointing. I literally had 3 slices of meat on each side of my sub. My adult frozen drink was not frozen at all. I go here for a quality sandwich and a frozen drink on the run. I’m bummed it’s been such a convenient place to grab a quick meal and drink close to home. I got the same feedback from another family member who referred me here.

It truly sucks that those who only have cash can’t even order a sandwich. That’s a whole new level of discrimination! Use to be one of my favorite places but after going to 2 different locations to find out that they don’t accept cash at all is very disappointing to say the

So I normally don’t give reviews to places, however, my fingers are itching to share how horrible our sandwiches were. have you ever had a meal that really just pissed you off because how bad it tasted. First off, the sandwich was completely soagy. Now don’t give me wrong, I’m from Chicago where our Italian beefs comes extra wet. But that’s with flavor. Here, we ordered a spicy Italian, toasted. It tasted like a big wet apple cider vinegar sandwich. I couldn’t even taste the meat or any other ingredients. The hot dog was trash too but I’m a bit bias when it comes to hot dogs.

What the hell happened to this place.20-30 minute wait time for sandwhiches when I’m literally the only person there.Feel free to sit on some wet picnic tables that the bums use as toilets though.

You have to order from a machine or online they do not have people taking your orders face to face they do not accept cash and it seems like they just don't want to be around people at all which is really sucks I can't support a place that

Not the same...things have changed...ordered a sandwich that came with more added and very little of what I ordered on it....bread seems stale... bummer

Great big sandwiches with lots of varietie. They use good bread and are generous with the fillings. My favorite is the pulled pork with slaw and cheddar cheese. This location currently only offers outside seating. You order on a tablet and pick it up at the window next to it.Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian and vegan options.Parking: There is street parking. Not sure if the side parking lot is for customer use.Wheelchair accessibility: Their indoor seating is currently not available, but there are picnic benches outside. The pick up window is wheelchair accessible.

People seem cranky about ordering online or from the tablet here, but it does seem to let the staff focus on cranking out sandwiches. I don't mind it. I had the special gobbler sandwich and it was tasty, but on the expensive side for the size. Great taste 5/5, value 3/5.Vegetarian options: Tofurkey and vegan BBQ options

The food is great! Incredible variety of sandwiches and hotdogs to satisfy even the most picky eater. Many vegetarian options as well! Mostly an order out place as they have no indoor seating.
