We ordered red beans and rice, hush puppies, shrimp po boy,and jambalaya. After the hush puppies and red beans and rice I debated leaving. Jambalaya and po boy lacked flavor. I wanted to try the oysters but definitely questioned the quality of them after tasting our food. It's not even worth explaining how poor the food was. Just shocked this restaurant survived COVID.

We came for a birthday party on a Friday night - the food and service were not great - my partner and I had the blackened catfish & brisket sandwiches. I took a few bites of the brisket and didn’t eat anymore - texture and flavor were not there. The blackened catfish - was not blackened and had a slippery texture. Our server tried his best and the only complaint there was how long things took and how little our table was checked on or given any attention. For a Friday night, they seemed busy but not so busy that they appeared understaffed. The music was turned up to bleeding ear drums volume. Best thing was the hush puppies. Most all of us at the table had never been here before so it was a first experience and I wouldn’t come back..

My first time here, and trusted the 4.4 stars without reading the reviews first. Listen here, this place is not it. We got the hush puppies, red beans and rice, shrimp po boy, and the jambalaya. I'm not sure how this food is considered "cajun" or "southern food". the hush puppies were decent, but the red beans and rice lacked any sort of seasoning and the ham was definitely not smoked or flavored. the po boy's comeback sauce was decent, yet everything else in it and the fries were underwhelming. my jambalaya was more like fried rice with some meat, and didn't taste like jambalaya at all.TL:DR if I were to serve you any of this food in my house, I'm sure you'd never want me cooking for you again. If I was the chef, I'd be embarrassed to serve this food, especially as an attempt to pay tribute to the "southern classics" but hey, maybe the oysters are fire?

We've been here a few times now. Great stop for happy hour! Yummy cocktails and tasty appetizers. Always good service too. We have yet to give the dinner menu a try but we definitely will soon.

We LOVE this place! The oysters are fresh, the clams are flavorful and everything in between has been great! The staff is knowledgeable about where the oysters come from and what to expect on your flavor pallet. Service is quick and when they are busy, they set proper expectations. The space is rustic but really cool, especially walking off of a city street, it's definitely not what you expect!! We have gone as far as eating here twice in one day!

The food and atmosphere were amazing! I had the shrimp étouffée and bread pudding with whiskey sauce. The oysters were fresh, and little vinegar-shallot sauce was delicious (I'm not normally an Oyster fan fyi). My only feedback is that staff was not very attentive despite being less busy. In the evening the back tables were a tiny bit darker than they should be. Don't forget to note the bathroom code which is shared by that block of restaurants (they were well kept and clean).

I took my granddaughter to this place, this was our second trip to eat. The food was great the atmosphere good the waiter the bartender were just perfect. We had a wonderful time laughed a lot and eat some beautiful oysters. I look forward to going back here again and again and bringing more friends to try out this wonderful food.

My husband mainly has become a regular and I get to join him on the occasion. From the kitchen staff, waiters and owner everyone makes you feel at home. The oysters and beans and rice are some of the highlights if you can believe it. If you’re in town and wanting oysters don’t hesitate to make this your first stop!
