Three stars because I love their chocolate and crumble stuff they have. But agreed on the horrible service from some of the gals working here. Not friendly, they seem irritated and never smile. Don’t be in customer service if you hate it. Getting a frozen treat is always exciting and puts a smile on our faces and to have such grump attitudes totally ruins the joy of getting ice cream. Not sure why they even work there. There is one gal though that’s always friendly. Dark curly hair, glasses and has an accent. Put her in charge so the others can learn how to do customer service properly.

Love this local frozen yogurt shop! It is self service which is nice because I know how much I am going to pay instead of getting a surprise like at self service frozen yogurt shops. All of the staff has been very friendly!

yogurt wasn't the only thing that was salty. Rude server behind the counter. She had RBF the entire time and eye roll in the end when asked for a bag for my yogurt. It was a Sunday night.

I don’t often give a two star review, but when I do, it’s earned. It’s not just that your mixed berry yogurt wasn’t anything special, it tasted frozen yoplait. The two workers had the worst customer service - giving attitude when we asked for to go (she didn’t ask us how we wanted it in the first place), slamming the cup into the to go cup when she saw her mistake, and then eye rolling. We tried a few different ones, the only good one was the salted honey (good enough to give a star back). I would never recommend this place to anyone unless they did a complete overhaul of their staff, but even then there are so many great places here for frozen treats that I wouldn’t waste your money on a place with workers so cold.

The frozen yogurt was good, but unfortunately the staff working there was very rude. I got about 6 cups to go and I wasn’t given a bag for it all or any spoons. My server just handed me all the cups and walked away. How was I supposed to carry all them out without a bag.

FYI a smile goes a long way..

Worker at 10:30p on Sunday was incredibly rude and off putting. She either hates us or hates her job, or all of the above. Also, to join in on the bandwagon, 90 cents for a few schillings worth of sprinkles?

We were craving froyo on our walk on 23rd and decided to be adventurous and try a new place not too far away - so we landed here. We could sample multiple flavors, which was nice, and we were delighted that there were non dairy options (1/2 the menu was dairy free, actually). However, they did not really taste like froyo, but more like sorbet/ice cream, so we went for the berry tart flavor with dairy, which was really very tasty. We did not get any toppings, because they are a whopping $.95 EACH, which really seems like a lot, however we didn’t mind too much because the flavor of the froyo was already “special” enough. If you’re more of a texture person tho, looking for a bit of crunch, then I guess you could opt for a spendy treat here or go somewhere else, where you can also Self serve and thus chose the amount of toppings etc.
It’s all locally sourced and organic which is cool tho, having worked at an ice cream place with a similar concept, I get it, however as a customer it is a lot of money for what it is - which is a little treat.

Handful of vegan options with rotating flavors. Also different bases like coconut, almond, and cashew. Tons of vegan topping options. Overall pricing is good and lots if indoor seating. A regular was plenty filling for me, but if you live on the edge, YOLO your FROYO and get the large. No one will judge you. Ordered the coconut-based Tahitian vanilla but I ate it too fast and forgot to take a pic. 😅 Updated from previous review on 2025-08-05

Not even good froyo, which is already not that great. Good vegan options if that’s a requirement.

Staff on Monday night could use some training, brunette gal was so incredibly bothered to do her job. Jobs are in short supply right now, weird behavior.

SO GOOD! So many topping options. Highly recommend valrhona chocolate.

Ebb and Bean is seriously one of my favorite spots in Portland. Their dairy-free frozen yogurt is so good—it’s creamy, flavorful, and they have the best toppings around. But what really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, and they capture that Portland vibe I love. I’ve always had such great experiences here, and I can already tell I’ll be coming back all the time.

The customer service was nice but the yogurt tasted quite weird (almost too healthy) and it was $0.95 per topping which felt expensive. I’ve never been to a froyo place where you don’t get to serve yourself which I don’t understand. Macaroon tasted good but I wouldn’t recommend this place.
