Man it’s awesome to have a great Hawaiian cart in the area again. I especially appreciate the indo-Asian dishes like the kimchi fried rice. Those cucumbers, I’m afraid to order the large size because I think I would eat them all in one sitting. The Hawaiian fare (shoyu chicken, kalua pork, Mac salad etc) is all spot on too, or I wouldn’t be writing this. Wish it was open more hours…but good enough that we work around that.
Parking: Small lot on the actual property. Street parking in the neighborhood or ride your bike in warmer months.
Wheelchair accessibility: The cart pod has a ADA spot and is accessible

This food truck is a buried gem amongst the food truck pods in Portland! I tried the loco moco and was blown away by not only the portion sizes but the flavors as well! It is a must try! And the owner is so friendly and nice! I can’t recommend this place enough! Also the indo-musubi is one of the best musubi I’ve ever had!

One of the top hawaiian spots in portland. Would have never expected such craft from a food truck. The reason I give it a 4 star is because of location. One of the more basic food cart lots I've been to! This place definitely deserves a better spot for more people to see how good it is!

I stopped at the food cards on MLK for lunch just to see what looked good and ended up ordering from Electric Rice Company at random. I ordered the Chicken Kalbi plate and it was delicious. The chicken was fresh and juicy with a sweet soy marinade and just the perfect amount of char. The mac salad was creamy and satisfying and the rice tasted really good with the extra sauces provided. The portion was massive and was easily enough for 2 meals for myself. It was really hard to pick a dish to try and I am looking forward to tasting more of their menu!
On top of their great food, the chef was so friendly and offered up explanations about the food and different sauce they make in house. It's very clear that there is a lot of passion behind this food truck and the quality of the food is proof of it.

Hands down BEST Mac salad I’ve EVER had. Including in Hawaii. Amazing balance of simple yet flavorful, sweet & savory. That’s all I ordered this time but I will definitely be back next time I’m in PDX. Owner was super kind and had amazing customer service. Cute and clean dining area available was a pleasant surprise.

Awesome food, had the chicken katsu and was blown away. Tender, crispy chicken, awesome sauces, and best mac salad I've had in awhile. Most places have bland Mac salad but I couldn't get enough of this stuff. The lumpia was also on point.
Can't wait to come back and try more dishes! The loco moco, fried rice, and cucumber salad are calling my name next!
The mac salad has been running through my mind for days. It’s genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had. The kalbi chicken and shoyu shredded chicken are tender and flavorful, and the sauces are elite. The guy running this place is passionate, kind, and thoughtful. 11/10 experience. I’m on my way back now.

Growing up in Hawaii and living here in Oregon, it’s hard to find good local foods that give you the tastes of the island. ERC brings a great fusion of indo-hawaiian cuisine keeping it fresh and tasting amazing. I had the Kalbi chicken with the nasi goreng and some Mac and their garlic chili oil (a must have). I will definitely be back for more in the near future.
