I rarely write reviews but when I do it means something to me. I just went in and the chef (yes, chef not cook) let me know that they were sold out of many items so I tried what was available, which was the loco Moco. Now, I've been chasing the loco Moco dragon ever since trying some in Hawaii. To date nobody has ever met that mark. Until today that is.
While different in flavor from the loco Moco I tried in Hawaii, the quality, care and richness of flavors was the same. Every ingredient could stand on it's own from the beautifully seasoned and grilled patty to the unique twist on brown gravy. Everything comes together perfectly to create a memorable dish.
I can see why he was sold out today, if this dish is any indication of the others which I'm sure it is I'll be in for a real treat next time. My only regret is I am just visiting and won't be back for a while. Rest assured, I will be coming back every time I visit Portland.
Hats off chef!

This place is amazing. Best Hawaiian food in PDX, imo. The pork is JUICY, the mac salad is HEAVENLY, and I love that you can dress up the rice with various flavors. Plus the portions are huge - which means even more delicious leftovers the next day.

Incredible food cart in North Portland. The Shoyu chicken and Nasi Goreng are flavorful and delicious. I’ve been several times and the consistency is incredible.

Definitely an underrated truck in Portland. Easily one of the best Hawaiian spots in the PDX area. The Shoyu and kalbi were great but the Mac salad was way better than the other places around!

Hot Honey Nahu for the win! The cart chef hooked me up with sauces too because I couldn't decide on what to get. Portions big enough to share but luckily I didn't have to. Will be back to try more...

My absolute fave! Found this place by searching nearby food places. When I saw the 5⭐️rating I had to try it. It did not disappoint. It became my go-to place in Portland when I come visit.
The hot honey katsu is SO good, and the spam musubi is TO DIE for. The portions are also amazing and so is the service.

Wow. My husband and I can’t stop talking about how amazing this food was. Every part of the meal was spectacular and the owner is so nice and helpful. Generous portions, all the sauces and best Mac salad I’ve ever had. We will be back soon!
