This was my favorite place to visit while traveling portland. Barista had sugar free syrup wich is great for people with diabetes or just dont want sugar in their drink. Food was food and staff were so friendly. Especially one of the cooks making my sandwich. I didnt get his name but hes great.

I've heard of Elephants Delicatessen for years and have always wanted to try it. Finally, I did. When I walked in, I was blown away. It's so beautiful and unusual inside, I was excited. Maybe what I ordered was too mundane. Maybe they are best with some of their more exotic foods. I don't know, but I ordered a favorite of mine...a BLT...and was disappointed. It just wasn't tasty. It wasn't bad, but it was just not tasty. The bread was very hard. It should have been more lightly toasted. Even though it wasn't burnt or anything, with bread so hard, the toast should be really light. And not enough of anything was on the sandwich. I will try this place again though, because there are many choices, and as I said the place inside is wonderful. I was in a hurry but would like to explore the other choices sometime.

We stopped in before the Timbers game, and we are so glad we did. The food was yummy. We got the pulled pork sandwhich, the steak sandwhich, potatoes salad, assorted macaroons, as well as several different drinks from the bar. The food was tasty, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Will be back again for sure. ?

Cute spot for lunch. Great food. I had the chicken strips and bbq sauce with a weet potato tots. The bbq sauce was homemade and yummy. Definitely would go back again.

Great deli with a large selection. Was there for lunch on a Friday in September and had their excellent fish tacos! Recommended!
Parking: Most seats in the back and some in the front.
The sandwich I ordered online was old, the cheese was dried out, the bread with mustard was something else entirely. Just bad. If your employee wouldn’t buy and eat it themselves, why would you try to give it to someone else.
The other sandwich wasn’t seasoned and contained the skimpiest amount of sauce… again just bad
Never buying sandwiches from here again.

First timers - everyone we interacted with was helpful and friendly. Awesome selection of food (they have some mugs and candles, etc too maybe? I was on a mission so didn't explore that so much). The black bean burger was top tier.

The food is a tad expensive, but the nontradional chicken pot pie was really good! It had potatoes, carrots, peas along with a biscuit that was outstanding! They also offer egg salad in a container and it is tasty as well.
