We are so sad that Epif as we previously knew closed. However, we tried their brunch today and were impressed. Not the best vegan brunch in Portland but probably the nicest atmosphere you will find. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-05
Such an adorable and stylish vegan restaurant.😍 The food has such a fancy vibe and I absolutely loved it! I had the Benedict and even though it looks just like an eggs Benedict the egg part is actually avocado It is not an imitation egg but it is still incredibly satisfying which is so impressive!🥑✨ And this yellow sauce was unbelievably good I am pretty sure it had turmeric in it!🌼 There are still so many dishes I want to try so I definitely want to go back again soon!😋💛 Updated from previous review on 2025-12-16
I enjoyed the pancakes, but would have preferred the margarine on the side. I also would have preferred to add salt to the potatoes, but there wasn't any on the table. The house-made sausage patty was dry and we were overcharged a dollar extra for it.
I enjoyed these dishes! I like that Epif has a small portion menu, and the half Benedict with a single pancake was plenty of food. The Benedict consisted of spinach. Sausage, tomato and avocado smothered with a lemony mustard Hollandaise, with chives for garnish. Would have loved some black pepper to sprinkle, but it was so good I was scraping the plate. The pancake was fluffy and sweet. Topped with vegan butter and sprinkled with sugar. It came with maple syrup, and next time I’ll ask for extra syrup. Great value, delicious vegan brunch in NE Portland.
The food at Epif is delicious and made with such intention and care! Great menu and even better humans behind it all. Beautiful location too. Can’t wait to dine there again soon

I LOVE this place! I’ve been vegan for three years and have really missed eggs Benedict and boy have they mastered their Benedict recipe - oh my gosh!! Hands down better than the non vegan alternative - yum yum yum
And the service from Sloan was so friendly and the vibe inside is just lovely. Oh AND it’s owned by a husband wife team and I love that aspect too- so go get out and support these lovely peeps you won’t regret it I promise
The Polenta Benedict and the beat soup were delicious. Very good service and kind staff.

Spot was quiet and we loved the radish dish. Empanadas weren't our favorite, will be back soon to try other items.

Always amazing! I planned a weekend trip to Portland just so I could eat these empanadas. I do miss the kitten snuggles drink but they have new options that are tasty as well.

The menu is minimal, but the flavor maximal. Great for sharing plates with others. The servings are best ordered a couple per person to share, or for a light meal solo. The atmosphere is cozy, either seated at a table or at the bar. Great date spot. I enjoyed the El Magnifica!, a drink, and the chocolate cheese cake. A bit on the higher end cost wise. I will definitely be back.
First time trying vegan south American inspired food. Had the empanadas and the Polenta. The Verde sauce for the empanadas was amazing!!
Delicious!!!
Food was fine, not bad in any way but I was hoping for a bit more flavour. The service was a ok, if a bit inattentive especially for an empty restaurant.
