Really interesting decor and friendly people! A definite "Portland" place. Sounds like they've been here for 35 years. We got the Sicilian and the Canadian bacon with olives. Sicilian: 4/5 loved the tangy tomato sauce. Wish it had been heated up a little longer to let the cheese melt a little more. Very messy to eat but tasty. A little soggy but it works. Canadian bacon: 3/5 Crust got soggy under the sauce and cheese sadly. Overall, kinda old school pizza place that is a little soggy. Had charm and interesting decor though.

This place has become a favorite spot of mine for pizza lately. The pepperoni pizza I ordered was massive and incredibly tasty. The ambiance really adds to the overall experience, creating a relaxed atmosphere. They were very generous with the toppings on my pizza, which was a nice surprise. And the service was excellent. Overall, it's definitely a top choice for me!

OH BABY, BABY, BABY. If you like being insulted for absolutely no reason and eat pizza that makes little caesars look gourmet, this is the place for you. Food: 0/10 the sauce on the pizza, tasted like it came straight out of a jar, the cheese was not fully melted on the pizza. Oh, and let us not forget that I didn't see anyone wash their hands one time, but the guy that was reheating our slices used his bare hands to grab it, which we ripped off the part where we saw him grab and set it to the side. Service: 0/10 oh you thought the food review was bad? hold my *baby* sized soda cup. So my friend and I order our pizzas and as they were heating, we go up to the cash register, but beforehand we order two sodas. Now, the only thing that is in front of us are three different sized cups. They don't have labels on them. They are just cups so we ordered, verbatim, two of the *baby* cups of soda. You would've thought us calling this cup size a *baby* made this man's head explode. He made a snide comments under his breath that he thought we did not hear that he does not sell *baby* cups. Like? I'm sorry, are you really getting upset because of what we called the smallest cup you have a *baby* size? oh, it gets better. We finish we pay we get our pizzas and we're eating right next to where the person that's making the pizzas when our cashier who made the comment about the cups walks over to the guy making pizzas and very loudly goes. "I cannot stand these silly little girls. I sell, SMALL MEDIUM AND LARGE sodas." in a valley girl accent. They both continue to talk badly about us while we're right in front of them, so I'm just staring at them at this point and when they finally make eye contact I go "oh no, don't stop trash talking on my account, but say it to my face this time" Both of them looked down and walked away. So do me a solid, Yelp review reader, and make sure to order a *baby* sized soda for me if you dare to spend your money at this horrible establishment :)

The pizza sucks, it's too thick and the sauce is too dark. No flavor. The service and the ambiance was really good though.

Used to eat here frequently until we moved away the owners were originally from New York and definitely know what they are doing here great little place to grab a slice of tasty pizza that is hand tossed This is thin crust new York style so it has few toppings the crust is just crispy enough to help the slice maintain and hold the toppings while you eat it with one hand Whether you fold it over with the tip touching the rim or edge of the crust or maybe you like having a little crease down the center where the juices and oils all collect everything is made fresh daily prices are very reasonable the staff are great parking is very challenging as everything in this area is If you happen to be in Portland Oregon and want a good slice, or even a whole pie try Escape from NewYorkPizza

THE BEST PIZZA SPOT IN PDX…They’re literally the best taste, the fastest and easiest pizza spot in ALL of Portland OR…It has clean, decorative restrooms and most great drinks you can think of. I recommend the slices of pepperoni… their take on pepperoni pizza is genuinely as “New York” as it gets.

My wife's been going to this place for 30 years and this was my first visit, truly amazing NY Style pizza by the slice. Good beer and good vibes too. Loved it.

I would give this place a MINUS 100 STARS, if possible!I had what I believed to be plastic in my pizza(!) which nearly chipped my tooth! I mentioned it to the girl behind the counter, and she said that there was nothing she could do about it because I had already eaten some of the food! I asked her how would I have known unless I had eaten some?!?!She also proceeded to tell me that it was probably carbon(!) from the oven! Was this supposed to make me feel better thinking that I may have eaten carbon particles from her oven!?!?I asked to speak with the manager, and she said that he was on a break. So, I said that I would wait. After waiting a while, there was no manager on duty, let alone and owner or anyone else. This may have quite possibly been the worst eating experience of my life. And, to make matters worse, the pizza maker said that I was being rude and they asked me to leave. She also said that I probably have never worked in the food industry before?!?! What???How any of this has anything to do with eating plastic or carbon particles in my food is beyond me.This was completely unacceptable behavior, service and food, to say the least. If you want good pizza, to keep all your original teeth in your mouth and to avoid eating carbon particles, run, don't walk, to another option for pizza in the city of Portland.

Feels like I'm in NYC. Pizza is great, crispy bottom and flavorful toppings. Crust flavor is on the sweet side but delicious. Fav slice was the pepperoni. Sauce tasted spicy almost? Idk but the people working here made us laugh and feel comfortable.

Awesome pizza and old school vibes in a charming neighborhood setting. Even if you get it by the slice reheated at an odd hour, it still tastes fresh.
