Atrocious service. We arrived at 5:45 and by 7:30 still had not received our dinner. One of my party asked for a glass of ice with lemon four times before receiving it. We waited for 25 minutes after asking the bill. The thing is, there were four people in the kitchen and none of them were working. One was leaning on the stove so it definitely wasn't hot. The place wasn't that busy. It's as if they were trying to provide bad service. Additionally, the carpaccio that was supposed to have foie gras turned out to have only shavings of foie gras, so small I thought it was Parmesan. The food was flavorful though. However, there are plenty of places to eat in Portland that provide flavorful food without the horrible service. Will not be returning.

Freah, seasonal ingredients with perfectly executed pasta. Chef McKee consistently puts out some of the best food in Portland, under the radar. Excellent wine pairings from Dame.

Favorite chef and favorite Portland spot. Outdoor seating was great and we felt sufficiently distant from other guests. Our server was easy going and professional and the wine in fantastic. Plan on desert as well!

Kind of a disappointment. the best dishes was the flat bread with ricotta, where you do no need to cook that much. Cacio e Pepe did not taste as cacio at all, but mostly of butter. The ravioli were way too salty. As I am Italian and I like good food, I won't go back there. However the place was very pretty.

I took my vegetarian significant other to Dame for his birthday and our first March dining experience. Everything was so delicious and the dining month value was good. To get the same thing a la carte would have cost $10 or so more. The food is locally sourced so seasonal dishes. My squid ink pasta was so tasty with a slight kick. And my SO wanted to “take a bucket of the salad home.” Highly recommended

Dame was outstanding. From top to toe, it was my perfect restaurant. The decor was charming, all the staff incredibly knowledgeable and warm, and the food was top notch. The squash and apple salad was delicious in every bite. I loved the intimate feel of a New York or Parisian neighborhood bistro. I wish we had such a place in West Hollywood.

Wonderful pasta, seasonal salads, wines by the half glass, full or bottle. And absolutely do not pass on dessert; the pastry chef here is incredibly talented! Start with the grilled flatbread w/ ricotta & fennel pollen; it exceeds one's expectations! The pasta will blow your mind (of course) but we also really loved the steak entree. Ya know... we have been a decent amount of times and I can honestly say I've never not loved a dish here. Chef Patrick has really honed in his skills and the food he is putting out is incomparable to anything else in Portland right now. Bonus is the breathtaking setting inside Dame; the most perfect wine bar. Get wine!

Trout and butternut squash pasta were seriously amazing. The bartender made me something off the menu kind of old fashioned-ish and it's like the best cocktail I've ever had. The ambiance was chill and inviting and service was personal and flawless. It was date night for me and my honey and this was the perfect cozy spot!

Located inside Dame, the sexiest wine bar in Portland.....seriously just beautifully decorated and phenomenal wine selection, lays a gem of a food program run by chef Patrick McKee and team. The hand-made pastas simultaneously push the envelope using seasonal ingredients and have the nod of every Italian grandmother looking down from heaven. My wife and I have gone multiple times, and each have been blown away. While the flavor fireworks do not stop at pasta, but transcend the entire menu. Their salads make a case for everyone to eat their veggies and Robb, the pastry chef has the skills to pay the bills. If this isn't enough poetically waxed praise I don't know what will convince you to go...seriously, it's just that good.

I took myself on a date here. First of all, wow. The ambiance is so cozy. I could have easy snuggled in the window-paned corner with a glass of wine reading a book. My friend who does not eat pork decided to crash my date. A lot of items on the menu have pork products in them, so my friend struggled to find something that sounded good to him. I ordered the brussels sprouts along with half-order of spaghetti and meatballs. The staff was already so friendly and attentive. But, when it came to ordering my friend decided to opt out. Staff went above and beyond to make something very special for my friend, which he absolutely loved and devoured (steak with roasted veggies). The food was impeccable. The service was out of this world, especially considering the poor stigma of Portland service. We were both wow-ed. Thanks for a great dining experience! I will definitely be back to further support this restaurant.

Magnificent gem of a place somewhat off the beaten path. Kind of a small unassuming neighborhood joint, but wow what a great experience. The two women who served us were both very friendly and knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home on a stormy Portland night. We started with Manhattans, which, quite simply, were the best we've ever had... and we've had more than a few in the last 35 years! Then it was time for a couple of appetizers. We opted for the beef carpaccio and the Brussels sprouts... the carpaccio was good but the Brussels sprouts were amazing, very flavorful with a great sauce. Main courses were the spaghetti with meatballs and the cappelletti which were tremendous, high end renditions of classic comfort food. For dessert, it was the blood orange sorbet and the house baked donuts...again, very tasty. This is now my wife's favorite restaurant in PDX, so there will definitely be a number of return trips forthcoming! Thanks to the staff for an amazingly high quality yet simple dining experience!

Lovely new pop-up restaurant inside Dame. Everything is fresh, seasonal, and made with love. Our meal was outstanding - Definitely worth a visit. Cant wait to come back for more!

This is the most under the radar spot presently in Portland. If you know the lineage and talent of Patrick McKee then this should be no surprise. This was the second visit that only reinforced the beauty and subtle developed flavors Patrick endows into his food. Well balanced, complex yet light and hearty at the same time that doesn't overwhelm and still makes you feel well loved and comforted. Exactly as Chef McKee is, his food is. Go now but don't be surprised the reservations are full.

As always, Chef McKee has provided my wife and I another memorable dining experience! I mean, we ordered 3 of the 4 desserts, and had a second serving of the Ricotta Doughnuts:) And that was after dinner!Seriously, the food they are crafting and creating each night is well seasoned, properly proportioned and reasonably priced. The same as when we first tried his food at Perlot. When we tried to reserve a table and go back (for the Osso Bucco!), they had just closed the doors that day.I don't write reviews often, but it's really worth the trip to check out what they are doing at Estes. Thanks, again, Chef Patrick!

Truly exceptional food and friendly, efficient, knowledgeable service. Probably the best risotto I've had in 20 years of eating risotto all over the world. Also really loved the roasted brussels sprout dish and charred romaine lettuce salad. Oh, and the freshly baked flat bread. OK, I loved everything I ate actually. Great windows, comfy space, not too noisy, good music. The only downside was the miserly wine pours by the glass.
