Have always enjoyed this place, the vibe is pretty cool and the decorations are great. For some reason they don't offer outside service often which seems like a missed opportunity. $20 for nacho cheese and won tons does not hit like you'd hope for that kind of price. It remains an institution as one of the original cool cocktail bars in town, but the competition is stiff and I'm not sure they are keeping up with it.
UPDATE: After a recent visit where I was price gouged on an unlisted menu item, I am not inclined to return.

I said "food 5 stars" but I don't know anything about the actual food other than watching other people snap it up.
I'm talking about the COCKTAILS. If you like to drink cocktails and maybe research cocktails and maybe craft cocktails at home you should come here. They have a fantastically stocked bar (I saw maybe a half dozen Amaros alone) and the bartenders know the menu drinks and non menu drinks. They're for no shirt capitalb bartenders. On successive nights I asked for a corpse reviver #2 and a Singapore sling and both came out <chef's kiss>. I had one of their house cocktails, the windrush, and it was a lovely adult beverage with plenty of bitter behind a silky smoothness.
The vibe is a more smooth and chill version of the bar from "Glenngary Glenn Ross".
The bartenders here are great.

Great find with my sister after a class The People's Yoga around the corner. The Hot and Sour Indian Fries and dips they come with are SO good - cilantro-raita aioli, house curry ketchup & sumac ranch. Very vibey, clean, and the music was great the night I was there (lots of Four Tet). Service was really kind and prompt!

This is a go-to for us. They are always busy, so plan accordingly!! Their cocktails are so delicious and thoughtfully created. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and the food is pretty great. I love ordering the Diplomatic Pouch - which is dealers choice! They always bring something absolutely mind blowing. ? Highly recommend! They spin vinyl and the atmosphere is super dark and moody and cozy and cool. I am kind of ruined, as they have set the bar very high. Cheers!?
