This used to be my favorite place to buy my cakes.For events and the cupcakes were also so delicious.I don't know why things changed? But flavor in the Cupcakes and cakes are not the same as they used to. It seems that at times, the cake is to dry and overpowered with frosting.

We got lots of cupcakes and a cutting cake for our wedding and could not have been happier! The tasting was great, the staff members were helpful, and everyone devoured the cupcakes! We have the rest of our cutting cake in the freezer waiting for our first anniversary and soooo many times I’ve wanted to just sneak a bite.

I’m so impressed with Fat Cupcake! I threw my two oldest daughters a college graduation party. And my oldest birthday. Ordered 2 dozen regular cupcakes and 3 dozen mini cupcakes. Pink champagne, black velvet, daisy, lemon, suit and tie, along with a beautiful 6” cake for the birthday girl.sent some ideas on cake design (wildflower themed) and they just did outstanding. Received extra cupcakes too! All at a very responsible price. The party was a hit and so was the cake/cupcakes. Thank you for making our gathering beautiful!

I’m only rating 5 stars because of an issue I had. I ordered a cake for the Portland cake-sitting contest. Contestants take a cake of their choice to the event and when it’s their turn they sit on the cake and the judges rate their performance. It’s competitive, not for fun.
The problem with FAT is that anytime I take one of their cakes to the competition I end up eating the whole thing on the drive there and I have to withdraw from the competition. I even stored it in the trunk this last time but I must have blacked out and ate the whole thing on the side of the road.
Their cake is too delicious - do not buy hoping you can sit on it.

Stopping in during our daily dog walk was not a problem at all so I loved that! Super quiet inside. Kinda spendy..They are yummy I guess i was hoping they would be huge for the price..and cuter to go package or something making it worth 8 a cupcake.

Fat cupcakes came through last minute for me with a beautiful and delicious birthday cake and cupcakes for my sons 4th birthday party! The cake had the best texture I have ever had and the entire thing plus the cupcakes was consumed as we all had seconds! The buttercream was perfect, smooth and not too sweet. I went in today at around 11am with my 3 kids. I drive by every Saturday and have been wanting to check it out. The worker from the moment we walked in looked like she didn’t want us there. My kids are young and loud, but they didn’t break or bang on anything. They were actually very well behaved. She had 0 customer service, we received 0 welcoming. She didn’t smile, didn’t share anything about the shop. I asked a question and she barely answered. I ended up walking out without buying anything. I had planned to order some mini cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday next month. Probably won’t now.

Her birthday party is Sunday the 8th and they decided to let me know 2 days before I was supposed to pick up the cake. I don’t recommend waisting your time or energy on this company. They will waist your time and will leave you and your family disappointed. EVERYONE knows you can’t find or order a cake 2 days before. NOW they got me in a situation where my daughter doesn’t have a cake for her day and it’s too late to order one from anyone else.

Hoping that possibly their lack of empathy on the situation had changed, & they were going to help us like they originally AGREED to. & it’s not like it was out of the kindness of their heart, we’re paying customers. Who work hard for every dime we have. Instead, we were informed again that nothing we have came to an agreement to would be made. But we could be afforded the privilege of paying the SAME PRICE for an all white cake, or a mundane one on their shelf. With zero significants or relevance to my daughter’s special day. Please, do yourself a favor, & go ANYWHERE but here.

Bummer of a cake. The cake and mouse layer was moist and delicious. However the 1/2 inch of buttercream icing was overkill and made the cake awful. The icing didn’t have much flavor.
Service was lovely but no offer to put anything written on the cake. Atmosphere was not very inviting.
