Fat Milo's is a cozy, tucked-away gem in the Irvington area, a small wonderful sweet slice of heaven tucked off the street. The room is alive with neighborhood chatter, and the staff is friendly and warm, providing great and fast service. The menu is full of breakfast dishes that scream to be tried. Must-try items include the life-changing fresh, hot cinnamon roll, the excellent chicken and waffles, and the inspired chicken Caesar wrap special. The avocado toast offers a nice sweet full flavor palette of hot honey and lemon goat cheese. For heartier meals, the excellent fried chicken plate comes as a big, good-tasting portion with a biscuit and home fries, accompanied by homemade ranch and a smoky homemade BBQ sauce. The CF Steak is cooked as it should be with a non-traditional country gravy, and the steak frites is also excellent. Other highlights are the BLT, full of bacon, the Sloppy Southerner sandwich, and the must-try homemade strawberry lemonade. The espresso martinis are excellent, though coffee can be in short supply. It’s the kind of place where you will definitely be back.
