Fish sauce quickly became my favorite place to eat in Portland. I’ve recommended it to my friends, family, neighbors, really anyone who would listen. The food is delicious and refreshing. Such a great culinary experience.
I’m obsessed with the vermicelli bowl, but I’m absolutely certain I’d enjoy any item on the menu. My husband’s favorite are the lettuce wraps.
I will continue to bring all of my foodie friends here. Thank you for the delicious food!

We’re regulars at Fish Sauce and for good reason!! The food is fantastic. Everyone is so nice and helpful and the happy hour is an amazing deal! The patio is the perfect spot in the summer. Our favorites are the Vermicelli noodle dish and the wings in the summer and you can’t go wrong with Pho in the winter. Highly recommend!!!

We love Fish Sauce!!! This place has become a near staple for our household. The food is incredible, served up fresh and quick, and the staff is great. Our favorite dishes and go-tos are the Bún-vermicelli noodles with grilled pork, salad rolls with shrimp, and signature fish sauce wings! Amazing every time. The happy hour is also a great deal. Must try! Our only wish is for them to also be open on Sundays!!

I tried the fried rice with chicken.
Atmosphere: I have always kind of liked the rustic atmosphere inside of Fish Sauce. However, there is a very long 30 foot table that takes up most of the space in the restaurant. Its a communal table meant to be shared. The table was insanely sticky. maybe because it was a hot day today. Either way it was pretty gross to have the entire huge table feel like it had not been cleaned in months. (suggest that they sand it and change the finish on the wood).
Food: ugh. The fried rice was bland. Nothing to write home about or try again. There were sausages in the rice that were really bad. Tasted like they took pre-prepped sausages from a can and thew a few in. Also the chicken... how to describe it... they were little tiny chicken balls that I think were boiled. Thats it. Pretty bland and not a good additive to the fish rice. They also looked like a catfood I used to get for my cat.
I'd stay away from this place. Try Andina's instead. It's just over the bridge and they care about the quality of food. .

We came into First Sauce on one of the hottest Saturday nights of the summer and had DELICIOUS food with great service. There was one very friendly woman working behind the counter and even though it was counter service she was still running drinks , food and running the register for the whole restaurant. I think their AC must have been temporarily nonfunctional bc it was almost as hot and sweaty as Thailand inside the restaurant, which is my only complaint. But the food was so delicious we hardly noticed, really. They had a big “WE’RE HIRING” sign on their door so someone please come help this woman out!!

I've loved this place for years, saw it through the pandemic, but the last two times I've been there the food has really gone downhill. The chicken wings were tough, sparse, and unappealingly presented on a single limp lettuce leaf, the shrimp lettuce wraps were nothing like they used to be, and the kalbi likewise were soft, bland, and not deliciously charred as they were before. There were no pickled carrots and daikon garnishes, which were always a tasty part of the presentation. Maybe the other dishes are better? But these are the ones we've always gotten and if they're the new standard, it is really disappointing. Different cooks? Drinks are still good.

This place is amazing. It’s a must-visit any time I’m in town. Their Pho is delicious, and a must-have is their Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwich). The service is always great and the restaurant itself is lovely.

I’ve had nothing but amazing service and amazing food when ordering from here! The meat for their Banh Mí is really juicy and has a nice light char. Their sides are awesome too, I just wish they would put jalapeños on their sandwiches.

Besides being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays this place is a hidden Gem of Northwest Portland perfect for both Summer and winter with real Vietnamese cooking. I highly recommend the Bún and the shrimp lettuce wraps. The atmosphere is quiet, and upscale with great customer service. 💯 wouldn't miss this 💎
Parking: Not too many spots for the actual restaurant, but plenty of street parking

Really yummy vietnamese food. I loved the grilled pork and chicken bahn mi sandwiches I ordered. The bread was so warm and soft! Comes with a salad of fresh vegetables and mango. Visit during happy hour and get 2.00 off each menu item.
