Our first time trying The Fishwife Restaurant and all of the foods we tasted were delicious and presented well! We arrived for dinner just after five pm, and we were lucky to have been seated, as the restaurant was filled. We were immediately greeted and welcomed, followed by the menus being shared for our table. Service was prompt, with a friendly waitress and all of our food was delicious! We will definitely be back to try other menu items. My wife and I encourage you to give them a try!

Wow, fantastic Dungeness crab cocktail. Perfect Wiilapa Bay oyster shooters. And outstanding clam strips with a variety of tasty house sauces. The staff are friendly and the service is top notch. Definitely love this place and hope to be back soon!

Fantastic seafood. I had the seafood sampler grilled and my friend had the Cajun cod Salas. Both were great! Service was friendly and attentive.Great prices too! Inside is down to earth and unpretentious. The place is hard to miss and parking can be a challenge. But we will definitely be back!

We had the smoked salmon fettuccine and the Opah fish special. Both were amazing. The pot de crème over the top delicious and our waiter Declan was a pleasure, funny, accommodating and respectful.

I've been eating here since it was the viking Cafe and it's a different kind food now but I'm a pescatarian so I don't have to drive to the coast to have fresh seafood. It's right here in town prepared just the way I like it ?

Came here with a group of work associates and everything was great. I got the Blackened Steelhead and the vegetable of the day was Brussel Sprouts. The sauce on the sprouts was great and even better when eaten together with the fish. Waitress said it was an apple cider reduction. It tasted more like a Dijon, but it was very good. Our table got fried clam strips, which were great and calamari which was very good. The side salad was perfect and they make all their dressings in-house. I got Bleu cheese dressing on my salad and it was great. This was a somewhat random restaurant selection and I couldn't have been more satisfied. I definitely would like to return to try more of the menu.

Nice place. Friendly service. The fish in our fish& chips was a bit blah...maybe a seasonal thing? Good waffle fries.

One of my favorite places in N Portland! The food is lovely and it's so cozy. They have been around a while and they have their stuff down.

My honey and I were out and about enjoying ourselves in a different part of town and ended up here. This is one of those classic fish fry restaurants you find in the north east and on the Oregon coast, with the same expected decor. Somehow, everything was better--you could also choose non-fried options, so we ordered a blackened cod dinner and a cajun fish sandwich. The sandwich came with your choice of coleslaw or potatoes and we got the waffle fries which were really good. My cod came with a dinner, salad, and the vegetable of the day, which were brussels sprouts tossed in a mustard cream sauce. The service was awesome, and everybody checked in on us, not just our main server. It's family run restaurant, and they clearly take a lot of pride in their efforts. For example, there was not even a hint of fry oil in the seating area, despite the fact that , it's an open kitchen
