I’m a professional barista and am jealous that I don’t work here. It’s gorgeous and nestled within an active community that clearly cares about itself. It used to be called something else and closed a few years ago, reopening as Floyd’s- which I hear is a vast improvement from the last place. The baristas were kind, patient, and friendly. Now, the coffee- it’s fine. I ordered a plain 8oz latte (whole milk) and it had some sort of oaty undertone and lacked any depth or real espresso taste. It was just weird! Not sure what espresso beans they use but I also had their drip coffee on a different visit and it was fine. TLDR; vibes great, espresso needs serious revision.

This place has been so many places and all of them have been charming. When we went here it was full of people at 3:00 in the afternoon. Enjoying tea and snacks. They have a wonderful drink selection. That's a little bit quirky and well worth trying out. Wonderful addition to Ladds.

This very artful coffee house was clearly favorite amongst the locals. A friend of mind recommended it. I sat and drew the view and observed the patrons coming and going, I had a breakfast burrito and a coffee there were a few place outside to sit under the shade of the trees. Floyd’s is special little sacred spot. Please give it a try

My absolute favorite coffee shop in PDX. This is such a gem of a place. I’m so pleased it exists!
Stopped for a coffee mid-bike ride, and what a find! The coffee shop is tucked away in Ladd’s Addition, a stunning, planned residential area known for its diagonal street layout that contrasts with Portland’s typical grid.
The shop itself is cosy and charming, with a super fancy bathroom! The coffee was great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
But for me, the real highlight was the location. We rested our bikes on a nearby lamp post and sat outside on the benches, soaking up the sun. As we sat there, a local jazz artist named Bill played guitar and sang, the perfect soundtrack to a peaceful afternoon.
Highly recommend!

Such a cute and cozy location with beautiful decor! We got coffee, a breakfast burrito, and a tuna melt and everything was great! The burrito and tuna melt both felt like they had a little something special about them (like the pesto spread for the tuna melt), super tasty. Would love to come hang out again. Also a really cute neighborhood to walk around in.
