Fly Awake PDX is a super cozy and cool spot for tea lovers. If it’s your first time, I highly recommend trying a tea flight; it’s a fun and approachable way to explore their unique offerings.
I wasn’t a big fan of the snack pairings, most were too salty for my taste, but the tea and atmosphere made up for it.
Here’s what they currently offer (as listed on their website):
• Two Tea Flight – $15 per person
• Three Tea Flight – $23 per person
• Tarot Readings – $20
• Monthly Tea Subscription – $30 (ask one of their “tea wizards” for more info)
Great little gem if you’re into tea, conversation, or a mellow date night with something different. I’ll be back to try more teas, and maybe a tarot reading next time.
I’ve been to this place a couple years ago and was delighted to go back and bring another friend. I’ll be back again! It’s a lovely spot great folks and a fantastic experience. Great card readings as well.
Knowledgeable staff, delicious tea.
Large space with plants and funky decor. Books and games available.
Entrance in alley, we almost missed it.
The menu uses a lot of colorful language which is evocative of imagery but didn't help me make a decision on tasting notes. There was so much to read, yet I didn't feel informed. Maybe some quantitative data in addition to the qualitative?
I love this place. It is a joy to be there and the tea is always good!
Great experience. I’ve been deep into my coffee game for a decade or so and this Pu-erh sesh really opened my mind to a whole new world. Looking to go deeper down the rabbit hole!
Fly Awake Tea House fills me with joy. Delightful!
Love this place !
Super cozy place! Lots of delicious teas and tasty bites. The people working here are wonderful
You know has a funky smell when you walk in but the vibes are 1000. very chill 🧘🏽♀️ vibes
Ordered online over 2 weeks ago, minimum of $20 dollars, paid $5 for shipping, and it still hasn’t showed up. Seems kinda ridiculous to me considering how much money I gave them. Hopefully it’s good, assuming I actually get to try it. Disappointed.

This place is a calming gem hidden in a back alley and I love it so much.
Loved their tea service! Nice selection of teas, and in hot weather, it was nice to have several cold options.
The open garage door made it feel nice and airy. (Tho it did get warm as the afternoon wore on.)
The one thing is the ceiling fan made the overhead light a bit flickery. Was not bad enough to give me a headache, but it might be worth noting if you have a seizure disorder.
Will definitely be going next time I'm in that corner of Portland!

This is my new favorite tea house! The tea selection was extremely high quality and unique, the atmosphere was the best I've ever seen in a teahouse. Really intriguing and relaxing art, very open space and friendly staff. I felt incredibly welcome, like I could hang out there all day. There was also some live atmospheric music that really set the mood. I'm very excited to go back and try some of the raw puerh.

Amazing vibes and atmosphere, and a wide range of teas to try. One of the coolest tea houses I've ever been to.
Server blatantly preferred tables specifically with only women. We were here a while so we got to see groups filter through so it wasn't just us. Those groups got 3 refills with smiles for every 1 silent delivery for the rest so it wasn't even a steeping difference. Hate to give this place a bad review, the tea was fantastic and the atmosphere is probably some of the best I've seen.
I worked for another specialty tea shop back home, and really wanted to ask about the story of the place, their teas, or even about the spirituality around the spot. It felt like any questions would have been taken as an offense/challenge to his knowledge rather than in good faith, so we both refrained. No idea what his name was as he never offered it but mellow out ponytail guy.
