I’ve been enjoying this establishment since it Jackknife. After going recently, I was incredibly disappointed.
Some of the bouncers are great but the lady up front charging covers (with no line) is consistently rude and other people have noticed her insufferable attitude.
During my most recent visit - the bartender, Manny decided to pour out my drink order in front of me after calling me a liar over some small/trivial matter. He then proceeded to help other customers before storming off from the bar. I have never felt so disrespected from anyone in the service industry.
I go out with friends for drinks/food to enjoy ourselves but we will no longer be going to Fortune since it has become so unprofessional and even hostile environment.

Terrible service and even worse attention. The place looks like it’s closed, and honestly, it makes sense, because no one comes here. I can see why: the staff couldn’t care less, and the whole vibe feels completely dead. Definitely not worth visiting.

The food was incredible. We got Mac and cheese croquettes and steak frites and both blew our minds. Absolutely loved the bartender who gave me 2 incredible and unique cocktails.

Not really “bar food,” but some is. I got the veggie burger and fries, and it was top-notch. My wife (vegan AF) got the cauliflower/veggie bowl (they were out of the mole/verde), and she really enjoyed it. Service really good, but in an indifferent kind of way.

We had one of the worst experience trying to get in, after we pay the security guy make us us to wait in line for a long time, but he was letting people go in front of us , and when we ask him , what’s going on? he said in a sarcastic and rude way, you need to pay me more money to get in .. so we turn around and left the place.

Used to be one of my favorite places. New menu is terrible and the bartender was rude. Started off ordering two cocktails off the menu and was told they didn't have the ingredients for them. Ordered the Mushroom Pate Slab. The menu clearly says it comes with baguette slices. Which it absolutely needs. When they brought it out and it didn't come with it I asked the bartender about it. Bartender became rude and defensive and argued that they were an "add on" and an extra cost. We also ordered the Mac and Cheese Croquettes just like it reads on the menu. They brought out the Croquettes and a side of Mac and Cheese. When I pointed out that we didn't order Mac and Cheese the bartender was again rude and tried to blame it on us. Even though that is exactly what it is called on the menu. Also ordered the Steak Frites. It lacked flavor and was dry and was a disappointment to say the least. What a terrible experience. I won't be back.

The food... does the cook actually try anything they send out? Salty, way to much garlic and fries were sitting in liquid. .. i love garlic and typically double it in recipes, seems like the cook or chef is warding off vampires.
Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere with a friendly team as well.

Very Unfortunate that I love everything about this lovely cocktail lounge, except for this very rude, unprofessional, and aggressive security guard. From what other regulars have told me. Her name is 'memphis'. Not sure that I believe this is her real name but as someone who enjoys Fortune I was taken aback with the serious lack of professionalism and respect. I have seen many other security guards who have great qualities and they are a better reflection of this establishment. Isn't a securities job to deescalate and protect the people within this establishment? I have also seen her allow very intoxicated people into this establishment and then kick them out with way too much force and aggression, as if she was not the one to allow them in; in the first place. I also have seen this same security blatantly attack people, call them names when there is no reason for it. As a regular here I was relieved when she was not here. I spend good money here and I would love to continue to come to my favorite place without feeling disrespected and spoken to like a child. I visited last night after being away on a trip and it was frustrating to see she was back and still unprofessional as can be. I believe a staff like this one belongs some where in china town. Not at the beautiful sentinel hotel.
Hopefully fortune can do better with their security staffing. I have never had bad run ins with any of the other security guards here, other than this one.

In town for work and found this gem near where I was staying. It’s in an old hotel so the atmosphere was very cool. I had a French dip and fries. It was yummy. The menu is all plant-based which is awesome to not have to worry about what you’re ordering. Come support them. Need more places like this in the world.
