The lady gave me a BBQ pork that is not edible during a take out this morning. I ordered a pound of the meat. Was given an offcut.
it was plastic tough skin, no cracking skin and too much fat to meat ratio. Presentation is nothing like the photo. Not coming back ever.

Whole in the wall secret spot for amazing Cantonese BBQ. The duck and various kinds of roasted pork are fresh and well-made. Service is casual but attentive. I ordered a roasted duck and cuttlefish ball with rice noodles and it was really good. Their soy milk, grease stick, and rice dishes are also quite satisfying. No fancy ambience, only solid cooking. 99% of customers are Asian.

Food here is so good. Broth is deep and rich, really good on the stomach. Any choice of meat is phenomenal. Have not had a meal that I was disappointed with. And don’t forget the get some chili paste!

I’m not sure if it was the time we went here or what, but we came in at about 5pm on a Thursday to get a quick dinner. We were really disappointed with the food, and the atmosphere was weird. I know that Hainanese chicken is supposed to be served cold, but my chicken was frozen in the middle and was unpleasant to eat. The rice that was served with it was so salty. The duck was fine but room temperature. They were out of roast pork (siew yok). They served very hot tea in plastic cups rather than tea cups which seems like a health concern. I definitely would not eat here again, and I’m disappointed how much we spent for food of this quality.

The food was fantastic!! And the service was great. I love that they give you hot tea first thing if you’re dining in lol. If I’m ever back in Portland, I definitely plan on making it back here!

As soon as I entered the restaurant, roasted duck/pork hanging on the window made me realize I came to the right place. People waiting in line for takeout after shopping at the Vietnamese supermarket across the street. Majority of the orders were placed in Vietnamese. I noticed most of them just took half pound of roasted duck or pork or char siu without noodles or soup. I would recommend that for takeout. Noodle soup was decent but not very special. The protagonist here is mouthwatering roasted meat.

Don’t support this business. Unless you speak Chinese, they won’t sell to you. Paid for my food, they said it’s ready. Then a Chinese speaking person walks in, they ended up giving my order to that person even though I paid first. Told me to wait 20 minutes for a new order. Don’t waste your time here. These people are terrible.

Unassuming little spot with hanging roast ducks. Get the wonton noodle soup with roast duck and you will not be disappointed. One of the most delicious holes in the wall on 82nd
