I would love to give the Franz Bakery Outlet 5 stars. The prices are okay, but along the back wall is where the deals are. It's usually an assortment of bread, doughnuts, cookies, and specialty breads that have expired that day. So when you buy off the back wall, you'll never get stale items.
The reason for only 3 stars is because of their employee Donna, who was working February 25th at 1:45 pm, and she's worked many times when I've shopped there on other weekday afternoons. She's rude, and she always treats me like I'm an idiot. Like today, I went in to grab some cherry pies, but they were out. I said something like, " Man, those cherry pies are popular. I was in here yesterday, and I should have bought more. Donna told me very condescendingly that the pies were gone yesterday, so I said it must have been the day before. She rudely told me it was Saturday because she remembered me. But it was the way she was looking at me when she said it. Like I was dumb or stupid because I couldn't remember what day I'd been in the store. I was just diagnosed with ADHD at 46 years old. Plus, I've always had problems with my memory. This employee Donna didn't say, "Thank you, and have a nice day." To me, but she sure did say it to each person in a group of 4 tĥat made a purchase after me.
I really don't know what I did to Donna that made her dislike me so much. I really hope that Franz's HR Department has a little one-on-one with her. She doesn't deserve to work there.

A great place to buy Franz Bakery products that are available with discounted prices. Give them a try and you will be happy that you did!!

The selection was a little small. But mostly the prices didn't seem that much cheaper than the grocery store.

I have been coming to this and other Franz outlets since the 80s. I was last in here 6 months ago. I came in here last week. I went into the back room where the discount racks were for many years and was rudely confronted by one of the employees asking what I was doing in that room and pointed to a small paper sign. I explained that I only knew that room as the discount room and she admonished me for not knowing that this had changed. I mean, why leave the door open? Anyway, I was so irritated at being treated that disrespectfully that I ended up leaving and was told to sarcastically, "have a nice day" as I left. Not sure if this person was just having a bad day, but I don't need to come here, but previously enjoyed it. I will decide later if I will return or not

Place is beyond old and dirty, all of the equipment has old moldy bread from decades ago, they’re just there for a check, the management is cliquey and has a majority of their family working there. Sanitation crew manager is racist and cutt-throat. The worst company ever to work for and the quality of bread is horrible, do your homework before buying and working there.

We live in Vancouver, this was way too far to drive to save a few cents. The store was nice and free parking. We were there later in the day so not a lot on the discount racks. Hope to get a store back in Vancouver again soon.
Kid-friendliness: Our grandson went on a field trip there so he was very excited to show us the store and the big rotating loaf of bread.

Tanker Parking photos below...Put the front of the semi underneath the FRANZ lettering, slightly On The Curb where all Driver's side tires are up on the concrete. Rear bumper should be about 2-3 feet past the second Blue Garage Door as shown.
Parking: Bynum does not have the proper phone number for Receiving...Simply get there before 6am and the guy will come out and start hook-up automatically, then wake you up for the Paperwork...when complete he will let you know when it's done.If you get there after 6am parking is DIFFICULT due to folks leaving their cars everywhere to get to the school across the street. Be warned.

It's a great option for budget-conscious shoppers or those looking for deals on fresh baked goods.
I've always enjoyed the quality and convenience of this Franz! The outlet store on 11th is great. However there was a change in employee's a couple of mouths so that 2 decorating. Franz USE TO particpate in a donation program that helped so many resource programs. I would personally go and pick up donations for the shelter I represented. A lot of people looked forward to, and relief on, those donations. Unfortunately when the new outlet store worker started on she stopped doing donations. I'm told that instead she is taking cash for what's there too farmers for animal food!!! This has happened far too often for me to sit quietly about it anymore... This woman has taken food from the community to profit on and I believe it is very wrong and needed to be brought to attention.....
