I only come here, because it's the closest place and nearly the only place to eat. This is the Turkey Noodle Soup...the place is so stingy with their protein, you get one spoon of meat and the rest is broth. The Clam Chowder is nothing but hard potatoes in clam broth. They only put slivers of meat so thin you can read through them on their sandwiches and salads. The service is so-so, maybe on a good day they will speak to you before taking your order, all the while looking right past you as if you don't exist until it's time to swipe your credit card. They always add extra charges to your bill whether it's and extra-extra charge for credit card purchases under $5.00. So, say a bowl of soup costs $4.25- it will always cost you $5.25-$5.50, so I hate using my card there. Oh, and I can make better ramen myself. There's is made with stale store-bought noodles with sub par ingredients for $8.25. I think because they know there is hardly any place to compete with them nearby, and no one wants to walk around the horrible upper Pearl district, they take advantage of that. So cheap - bunch of freaking broth. I'm so pissed .

Nice people but slow service.

The food is always made fresh to order. I get the toasted cheese bagel with cream cheese or breakfast burrito and my wife orders the BLT on white toast. The owner is always up for a friendly chat. Pricing is reasonable for downtown.

Best turkey sandwich ever! They carve the meat right off of the turkey and it is NOT that salted processed nitrated meat like substance you get elsewhere. Best of the best!

Best Freddie Brown's Deli I've had since moving here, and I've gone ti plenty of Freddie Brown's Deli places. Family owned and super friendly. I've tried their lemon pepper and garlic Freddie Brown's Deli and fell in love immediately.

Nice location, open and friendly food is ok. They charge $0.35 to use a CC if your bill is under $5. Why do this? It's just bad PR. Just up your prices a tad and get a bit extra from cash customers.

Anyone who has been to a real deli will know how mediocre and overpriced this place is. New York City prices with public school lunch quality. Let the hoardes of meth heads pretending to fly while talking to themselves for 4 straight days outside be a sign.

Watch what they charge you! The price might be one thing on the board but they will charge you another. They also charge a 35 cent fee for credit card charges under $5.00. I used to go there all the time. I rarely ordered the same thing so I did not notice the price "change" at the register. When I started getting the same thing over and over again, I started to notice. The price would be one thing on Monday and then later that week it would be another. Ask for a detailed receipt but they could not give me one. They get upset when you ask for the actual price. Think twice and be aware!

There is nothing better than their homemade turkey sandwich and soup combo after a flight around downtown Portland. The operators make you feel like family!
