Best veggie burger of my life! Hands-down, they have the best veggie burger, and I consider myself an aficionado. It’s not the crap- filled, unhealthy version, the boring fart inducing version or the dry dusty crumbly version. It’s a beautiful, well crafted, superbly FLAVORFUL, house made veggie burger with vegetables and whole foods. The flavor has an adobo taste to it. Plus they put cheese on it! I love veggie burgers, but I’m not a vegan or vegetarian so this was just really cool. I would definitely come back here again soon.

We came here super late and all the car pods were closed about 10 minutes before they’re closing time. We were just about to scramble and find an alternative And saw that this car has their lights on. We rolled up, thinking that they were certainly not going to service, but they absolutely did and with a smile

Great portion size! Generous amount of beef. Kind employees.
The edges aren't quiet lacy or caramelized as one might hope from a good smashburger, but the amount of beef and cheese make up for it. Good, classic fry sauce.
The Sesame bun leaves a little something to be desired, I think the patty melt is the way to go.

The patty melt is amazing. Ate half, and can barely remember waking up at 4 to eat the other half. I think I was sleepwalking

Careful you might go out of your way to come eat here and then they’re just randomly close to clean and then the girl working is really rude and snotty about it. Really great food, but inconsistently open and a really bitchy girl.

Best smash burger I’ve had in Portland! Also probably the best burger I’ve had in Portland. Right up there with a burger you’d find in the Midwest (Texas / Rocky Mountains) which is saying something because I’ve heard that’s apparently where burgers are generally done best. Pdx has been hit and miss for burgers, but this place is always a hit. Fries seem frozen precut but are prepared to be delicious also. 10/10 would recommend and definitely one of the top three carts at the pod.

Lately the food is so inconsistent. SO sloppy…bun is SO soggy… and after spending 20$ plus tip… no thank you. I'm done. l loved it at first but this is the 3rd time I'm getting a SOAKING WET bun. I don't think ill be ordering here again. Staff is always nice though.

I've been in Portland for about a year now and have been to some other burger spots and I got to tell you, this is the best burger I've had! The flavor of the burger itself is amazing and their funky sauce tastes similar to a mix of mustard and mayo (in case you don't like mustard just like my wife 😂). I've had it twice now within a week, because it's that good (but also because I'm fat 😭)

These are my favorite burgers in town -
Their ingredients are always fresh (it’s not just in the name:)) and they’re always consistent. Highly recommend!

I thought that the pretzels were my favorite item at Fresh and Funky but I just tried the veggie burger and I’m blown away. At first bite I wouldn’t have even known it wasn’t a real burger. This is definitely going to be my new go-to lunch when I’m craving something meat-y. It’s so nice to have a vegetarian option even at a cart known for smash burgers and chopped cheese sandwiches.

I'm definitely glad that I tried this cat out while at the food cart pod. There's not that many places that have a chopped cheese as a regular item on the menu. Once I saw this, I knew I needed to order it. The chopped cheese is done well and tastes amazing! Everything was mixed well and I definitely enjoyed every single bite.
