LOL be careful when checking out here! The lady at the register “made a mistake” and accidentally charged the wrong color plates, which happened to be the most expensive ones. She got super nervous she I asked for a receipt and tried to hide my plates quickly before I could double check. Unfortunately for her I caught her trying to steal from me. Funny stuff! Scamming people on their lunch break? Hope you sleep well at night. Lmao.

Oh and the food was pretty sub par. The belt isn’t even stocked. Probably one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to in years. This place is super sketch.

The sis is a secret gem!! The sushi is fresh favorable & of course can be chosen from the new conveyor or made to order- they have a wonderful Teppanyaki grill & menu as well as a bar with TVs in every area l& an upstairs party space that is set up for fun!!! I love this place and the food is just so good!!

The food is good, at bit better than I'd expect for conveyor belt sushi on 82nd. The staff are fun at night and will try to get your party started. I've always enjoyed coming here on weekend evenings.

However, there are some problems, the conveyor belt seems to be only operating at lunch, and there's barely anything on it when I last went. Most of the dishes have picture cards. It's not clear if you're supposed to take the pictures or just wait for them to be made, and they don't explain what to do. Most of the stuff that is on the conveyor belt are rolls, and it's not a balanced selection. almost everything on the belt was a roll with cream cheese or imitation crab salad on a yellow plate, no sashimi, nigiri, or non dairy items, appetizers or sides. The service was agonizingly slow during lunch, and the waiter just casually dumps the napkins, chopsticks, dishes, and water glasses by our side in a jumble and leaves us to sort it out. He had very careless mannerisms overall, and I was actually kind of shocked at how relaxed the waiter was during lunch, as when I had gone for dinner they had been very professional. When my shy friend dropped her chopsticks on the ground, the staff all saw, but no one got her another pair. I had to get up and say "excuse me, she needs more chopsticks" because my friend is too shy to speak up. Slow service would be FINE for lunch except, there's almost nothing on the conveyor belt and what is there is the items not everyone wants, like cream cheese rolls. Not everyone likes to mix cheese and fish and you need to have more options up. Meanwhile the staff are all standing around loudly talking and joking with each other, and no one asks us if we want anything for a while. The vibe was a bit uncomfortable for a late lunch when not many people were there.

Overall this is a place to take your bros or your girls to have a boozy meal, but not a great spot for a date or for a quiet lunch with your friend.

Couldn’t even stay to order food after the condition of the dishes, silverware, and restaurant. Got seated for hibachi, which was pretty over priced to begin with.

Every single person in our party of 4 had a dirty, crusty plate given to them. All of the silverware had leftover rice and food in them. We should have left immediately but instead gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked for clean dishes for the table.

Round 2- dirty dishes AGAIN. We literally watched a man go thru a pile of the “clean” dishes looking for ones that didn’t have crust on them. It took waaayyy too long for him to find what he thought were acceptable dishes only for them to be equally disgusting. At this point we just left. Don’t go here. The grill guy is super creepy also. Barf.

Outstanding! A beautiful experience for the palate, as well as, delightful staff. My husband and I ordered from Fujiyama's on 82nd, and were so impressed! It was clear to us, based on our own particular lil matters/needs, that Fujiyama is truly CUSTOMER-FOCUSED and provides TOP-NOTCH SERVICE and DEEELICIOUS FOOD!
