Garbonzos used to be a food truck parked outside of "The J," but it has since moved inside. The menu at this place is very Middle Eastern and offers look great! I went for a casual dinner date with a regular from Garbanzos. He had the Beyond Meat Kofta Burger served in a pita and I had the Grilled Eggplant Plate with 3 added-on falafel balls, served with potato salad, coleslaw a Shirazi-like salad and a trio of dips including: babaganoosh, hummus and a whipped tahinni....

This Kosher falafel and also beyond meat in pitta was very good. Also lentil or tomato soups. restaurant is pretty nice with very nice guy who is running it.It is located in the Jewish center so the atmosphere is not the usual restaurant one. More like a familes place.I liked it, I think it's the only certified Kosher restaurant in Portland, a place simply to eat.
