I usually don't like to post negative things about a business online, but this experience was so awful that I feel like I have to. I ordered the fried okra because I love fried okra. In this case, the fried okra was just a bag of frozen okra thrown in a deep fryer. The okra came out super soggy (there was no breading or coating on it, and it was way under fried), and the sauce it came with tasted spoiled.

On top of that, it wasn't until he had already started making the order that he let me know that he doesn't accept credit cards, and said he only takes cash or venmo. I gave him a 20 in cash, but he said he didn't have change so I'd need to use venmo. I don't use venmo, so I had to set it up on the spot, and I didn't realize that if you use a Chase credit card with it, it charges you $10. The okra was $7, and I paid a $2 tip, so I ultimately paid $19 for soggy okra and spoiled sauce, which I threw out after 2 bites.

Honestly the best meal in Portland. Sauciest sauces. Dankest fried chicken flavors. Friendly vibes, fair prices. Everything you could ever want in a food truck. One of evolution’s finest creations

Limited selection, but unusual and tasty. He fries the food right there and offers samples. I had the gluten free and vegan fried cauliflower with chili and curry dipping sauces. The fried cauliflower didn’t need the dip, but was even better with it.

We stopped by an hour before their listed closing time and they were not open. Idk if the listed hours were I correct or if they just closed early, but I had driven 45 minutes out of our way to get what appears to be some of the best rated GF fried chicken in Portland. I still intend to stop by sometime, but I can't make it a destination if I can't count on them being open when I get there.

The chicken and potatoes amazing! The owner is so nice. For homemade comfort food try this!
